4 Players From Elite?

This has been stated a thousand times over. But I think the dolphins are 4 players from being elite. 1 player on offense, 3 on defense. On offense we need a WR. We have a QB, and an O-Line, and 2 RBs, a great FB, and tons of #2 and #3 receivers. On defense, we NEED a FS, we WANT a NT (Jason F. could be back, which would make this next years issue), and we WANT another ILB.

I think if we use our 1st round pick to either draft or (the better option in my opinion) Trade for a WR, that would be ideal. Next is the ILB. Try to get one in free agency, if not, then draft one. Then, see what Chris Clemons has. If he is our FS, then we're set. If not, then free agency, if nothing is there, then draft.

The NT position is questionable. See if JF is coming back. Otherwise, try to find something in free agency(Which is extremely possible with the amount of NT's expected to be in free agency). Pray for Vince Wilfork. But Casey Hampton or any of the other couple of NT's who will be free agents would do just fine.

The reason I like free agency more than drafting is because if we draft a NT, WR, FS, and ILB, then we have to wait for all of them to develop, and we're still vulnerable at those spots in 2010. The order I think these should be adressed is WR(we need dynamics), FS(the biggest gash in our secondary), NT (key cog to the run defense), and ILB(we have people there, we're just looking for an upgrade...it's a want, not a need).

If we upgrade at 3 of these 4 positions, 2010 will be a dominant year with the progress of Henne, Smith, Davis, and Hartline.
