Any MMA fans out here? If yes, did you see...
the beatdown that Herschel Walker put on last night? Yowza, we are talking a 47 year old guy whose been out of football for 10+ years. Sure didn't look like it on that mat though.
For a neophyte he looked darn good & seems light years more skilled (already) than the marketing gimmick known as Kimbo! And let's not even discuss the Canseco circus.... :-)
Don't get on me about MMA now, I mean it is practically the off-season so you know we have to find material to fill in & no, mock draft #9382, 3-1/2 months before the actual draft doesn't quite cut it....

Yeah the Hershal Walker fight
was crazy, I have never seen anyone just over power someone the way Walker did Nagy. I mean it was like a bully in elementary school pinning him on the ground and doing whatever he wanted to him… wet willies, typewriter, etc. His stand up looked a little stiff but this was his first MMA fight period so he is going to get better and already looks a lot better then some that have been out there for a while.
It will be crazy to see what he can do in the future.
any of you guys hear what Rex ryan had to say by that fight
1st he flipped off a couple dolphin fans and then he announced that the jets will beat the dolphing both times next year

He is in the best shape of any 47 year old EVER, lol,
but really was impressive, as you say, no comparison to the big disappointment Kimbo was, don’t get me wrong, Strikeforce is a tomato can league, not to be confused with UFC, but HW dominated technically as well, he hardly seemed winded after the fight, incomprehensible, 47 with wind like that.
Was better standing, and much better on the ground, patient, calm, great balance and strong, very interested in his next fight.
Also Lesnar is coming back soon, MMA may be getting another big shot in the arm with him and HW, if he keeps fighting.

As a 2nd degree black belt in TKD
I can say that doesn’t mean a whole lot :)
I practiced TKD for 17 years, and Aikido for 8, and more recently Krav Maga….and I can tell you that TKD is affectionately called “Super Karate” because of the high aerial kicks, and “show” type moves….
In an actual Full Contact sport, throw out 90% of what you learn in any martial art, but 95% of what you learn in TKD

Yep, running, pull ups and the such.
He claims that not using weights other than his own body weight is why he never seemed to get injured when playing in the NFL.
