Would you Trade for Anquan Boldin?

Reports from the Arizona Cardinals camp and beat writers is that the Cardinals’ will be more "earnest" with their efforts to trade Anquan Boldin this season. They report that the best offer they received last year was a 3rd round pick and a player, but they do not mention the team or caliber of player, and reports are that the same offer may get the deal done this off season.

I realize that WR is a big need for the Fins this year, but have been a big nay sayer for the Marshall trade, for many reasons that can be seen in other posts. The point of this post is not to get into another Brandon Marshall arguement here, because the Phinsider is clearly divided but to discuss Boldin.

I wrote this post out before, but the Poll option made my browser freeze so I apologize.

If you were Sparano, Ireland and Parcells, or had a voice in it, would you trade the Fins 3rd round pick and another player for Anquan Boldin? Why and which player.

I would definitely pull the trigger here, Boldin is an excellent WR, I love his style of play and think he will elevate the WR corp on the team. Yes his hard nose play style does place him on the injured list week in and week out, but he always play through the injury and produces. He is a consistent 1,000 yard WR, and yes I value the 3rd pick quite high, I also think Boldin would be better than any other player in the 3rd. Now they did not mention the caliber of player offered, but assuming it was a starter caliber, I would trade Joey Porter. Cards need help in the pass rush department and did not have many sacks from the LB position. With Bernard Berry announcing the end to his career, Porter would fit well here. Runners up for me were Will Allen, but unknown on his knee injury, Gibril Wilson, cap number and not totally writing him off, and Vernon Carey, but his cap number is big, and I would not want to miss up the solid OL play.
