What do you guys think about the possibility of the Dolphins drafting Taylor Mays with the 12th overall pick (Or the second round if he was to slip that far) to play Inside Linebacker? Dude's a freak. He's got the speed of a safety and size of a linebacker. He's a big hitter and is good in supporting the run. However, his coverage skills at the safety position have been called in to question which may cause him to slip in the draft. My thinking is that if he were to gain about 10-15 Ibs (He's 230 Ibs at the moment), he'd make for a stud 3-4 Inside Linebacker. He's a sure tackler and has has the speed to get to sidelines and make a play. Great run supporter and has all the makings to be a solid pass rusher. While he may only be average in pass coverage at the safety position, He would be an elite level LB in pass coverage (especially zone coverage) if he were to make the switch. He offers versatility as they could also keep him at safety which would also fill a need. I bring this up because it is clear that Rolando McClain may indeed be off the board by the time the Fins are on the clock (Ya, I know, BUMMER!). If that's the case, then Mays could be an option along with guys like nose tackle's Dan Williams and Terrence Cody, And wide reciever Dez Bryant. What do you guys think, would you take the gamble? Would you consider him in round 2 (If he slips) If we went NT or WR in round 1?
