So, I've been breaking down Parcell's drafts and a couple things are clear to me:
1- Parcells has drafted more offensive lineman than any other position.
2- Contrary to what everyone thinks, it seems to me WR is his 2nd favorite position to pick.
That said, the Tuna has barely landed a handful of stud receivers in his drafts. He has built his success, it seems, through the offensive line. Bill places smart/strong QBs (forget Quincy Carter, think Bledsoe and Romo) behind these monster lineman and enjoys victory.
His more successful picks, however, have been on the defensive side of the ball (Willie McGinest, Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, Tedy Brushi, James Farrior, DeMarcus Ware and now Vontae Davis and Sean Smith).
While we won't know if he's lucky enough to pick the next Keyshawn Jonhson as the Dolphins receiver, we can be sure that whoever he and his staff picks will make this team better; Be it on defense or offense. (We already have a bad-ass O-line, so you can cross that off the list).
Personally, I'm praying for Rolando McClain in the 1st round and Golden Tate in the 2nd.
