think about all the draft picks theyve gotten and all the trades they got. I swear they have a deal over in oakland, they get burgess and trade seymour for a first rounder.

Great foresight on their part because they got great value and now are guaranteed to kepp Wilfork till he retires, but I think it will hurt them pretty hard this season.

And as for Burgess, you know why the Raiders let him walk for next to nothing? He sucks. He’s only played 3 full seasons out of nine. Yikes.

Burgess sucks and Seymour can play. Here is a question for everyone who thinks this is a bad move: If you don’t draft well, which the Raiders obviously don’t, why keep draft picks?

Another thing about the Patriots. So what if they have all of these draft picks? By all accounts this years draft is a bust. And the last couple of drafts have been average at best. Just because you have draft picks doesn’t mean that those picks will be productive players.

I say let the Patriots keep trading productive players for picks. With all those picks the last couple of years, they still can’t draft a decent RB, WR, DB, OL, or DL. They have drafted a couple of LB’s but that is about it.

If JT does not retire. I could see him going to the Chiefs, only to come back to the Dolphins and sign a one day contract to retire as a Fin.

Let’s focus our energies on getting Wilfork. They have a guy behind him if he asks for too much next year.

but not because they gave the Pats their 2011 first draft pick. They got Seymour because Al Davis is desperate, and desperate owners/coaches are idiots, IMHO. Ever hear of Al Davis planning for the future? I haven’t, not even in the 70s.

And whoever said the Pats have not drafted well lately is correct. Other than Mayo and Merriweather (and maybe Adelius Thomas), the last four drafts have not been nearly as good as the ones they had earlier in the decade. With Pioli gone, I suspect their drafts won’t get a whole lot better. So I wouldn’t worry about the Raiders “screwing” the Dolphins. IMHO, the Pats have been screwing themselves lately.

And has anyone read this on ESPN? Pats tackles Light and Kaczur are being blamed (finally!) for not protecting Brady well enough.
