Print[Editor's note: Original Open Thread got close to 1,000 comments so I've opened up this thread now to discuss today's cuts. I will continue to update this thread as news trickles in. Continue to post any links/news/info you find about today's cuts in this thread and not in a new one. Thanks.]

**UPDATE, 8:40 pm: The Dolphins have officially announced all of their moves to get down to 53 players. The Dolphins released safety Courtney Bryan, offensive tackle Brandon Frye, linebacker William Kershaw, wide receiver Brandon London, cornerback Joey Thomas, defensive end Rodrique Wright, offensive lineman Nate Garner, cornerback Will Billingsley, defensive lineman Ryan Baker, offensive guard Mark Lewis, linebacker J.D. Folsom, wide receiver James Robinson. And Matt Roth is headed to the PUP.
**UPDATE, 7:30 pm: There are now reports that the Dolphins are actually keeping both Joey Haynos and John Nalbone. Yes, four tight ends. It's believed that they fear losing one of the two if they place one of them on waivers. And this is likely to come at the expense of Nate Garner, according to Omar Kelly.
**UPDATE, 5:44 pm: Edgar Thompson also confirms that Lex Hilliard has made the team. Meanwhile, the deadline is indeed 6 pm, but that doesn't mean we'll know by then. Hopefully, though, we learn of the cuts sooner rather than later.
**UPDATE, 3:36 pm: The Palm Beach Post claims the deadline for cuts is actually 6 pm - not 4 pm. If they are right, we'll have to wait a little while longer to find out the final 53.
**UPDATE, 1:45 pm: This next move isn't official just yet. But two sources, the Palm Beach Post's Edgar Thompson and the Miami Herald's David J. Neal, are reporting that Joey Haynos will make the team as the third tight end.
**UPDATE, 1:00 pm: Here's what we know so far. Matt Roth has been placed on the PUP list, meaning he will not count towards Miami's 53 man roster. Brandon London, William Kershaw, and Brandon Frye highlight this morning's cuts. Rod Wright and Courtney Bryan were also released today. It also appears that Will Billingsley has not been cut just yet. The Dolphins may plan on keeping him around for now until they see how Vontae Davis and his injured knee progress these next couple of days. Six more cuts still to come. Stay tuned...

Trading JT wasn't a mistake imo
He wanted to play for a contender and not commit so much in the offseason. We got alot for him as well

Haynos is just too darn big to be good
he’s slow as hell. we dont know about his hands because he cant ever get open. If we want to keep him for his blocking why not just put another lineman out there as a blocker. there is no need for a 6’8 250 lb. lineman

The Dolphins released 12 players and placed LB Matt Roth on the reserve/non-football injury list to trim their roster to the 53-man limit.
The dozen players let go are – WR Brandon London, S Courtney Bryan, CB Joey Thomas, LB William Kershaw, DE Rod Wright, OL Brandon Frye, CB Will Billingsley, OG/C Mark Lewis, LB J.D. Folsom, OT Nate Garner, wide receiver James Robinson and DE Ryan Baker.
Can Frye make the PS?

from someone that we have 8 OL. With 5 starting, that’s not much backup! Suppose Smiley and/or Thomas become injure-prone. We have nothing left. Too bad they can only keep 53. I’d like to see 9 or 10 OL. AT LEAST ONE MORE. Not 8.

i did a roster breakdown all preseason and was able to keep 9 no problem

Jacksonville released Tony Pashos who is a T/G with some starts in his career
Also Justin Miller is no longer a Raider.. He is still a great kick returner
