The end?
Perhaps not. Has anyone considered that this may be the beginning of the next phase of Chad Pennington's career? At 33 and heading into his third shoulder surgery on his throwing arm, it seems doubtful that he will play in the NFL again (although I would never count out a pro athlete with his drive and intelligence). However, I don't think I'm the first person to wonder whether or not Pennington has the makings of a future football coach. He is a natural leader with great knowledge and love for the game. He obviously inspires his teammates. What do the rest of you think? Do you think the Dolphins will (or should) consider this? I would love to see Pennington remain a part of the franchise after his playing days are done.
Maybe this should have been a FanShot. I don't really know the difference. Sorry.
Go Dolphins.

I would love for him to stay on in whatever capacity he would
but the youth of today need a man as classy as CP is to inspire them to dream big, believe in themselves and do things the right way.
He has said he would Coach at the HS level but had no interest in Coaching in the NFL and I think that’s where he belongs because he could have a tremendous impact in the lives of children and in this narcissistic Society thats where he’s needed the most IMO.

the idea of coach pennington has been floating around alot.
we were even hoping it would happen long before his injury. would he be very valuable in that role? Of course. But will he actually do it? We dont know. We do know that we will get him for the rest of the year to mentor these guys. Hopefully Parcells and Sparano will use the rest of this season to court him into being a QB coach for us. Time for some Bromance Sparano, put those moves on pennington!!

Everyone needs to remember that
CP10 has a long time relationship with Parcells so while its a job he might not jump at with another NFL team it may be a totally different story if Parcells is one of the people trying to sell him on the idea.
