The wait will feel like forever to get to 4:15 today for kickoff of the Dolphins/Chargers battle. Use this thread to discuss anything from the early games today or anything else you'd like to discuss.
In particular, all of us should probably be rooting for the Titans and Falcons during the slate of early games.
Our thread for today's game will go up around 3:30.
Today's inactives for the Dolphins are: QB Chad Henne, LB Erik Walden, OL Shawn Murphy, OL Andrew Gardner, DL Lionel Dotson, WR Patrick Turner, TE John Nalbone and DB Chris Clemons.
That means Cameron Wake will be active for the first time in 2009. But with Walden inactive, will special teams take a hit?

I like having a tough division
when Miami Buffalo and the stinky Jets were all right there with each other, the shit was exciting. When the division is good, I think it keeps the pressure on us to continue to get better…

Competition makes teams better naturally, the need to be better than your rival’s makes strong super bowl winning teams.

and teams that are tested in the division are better prepped for playoff football… look at 16-0 NE vs NYG in 07. NE ran through the worst division in football, the Giants squeaked out of the best one.

you can see how much more talent is on this team than in previous years. Compare em to UM, getting lots of young talent, but not there yet, and still missing some pieces.

I didn't even have any emotions to feel bad about that Canes game
my youth team came back and won by one point on a pick 6 with 3 minutes left, then blocked a FG on the last play of the game to win. i almost had a heart attack lol

I wasn’t so sure about this year, even said I thought they didn’t deserve to be 9th just yet. They should still win the ACC though, nobody else in that conference looks that good outside of FSU and VT, and I think later in the year, and hopefully in dry weather, that game is in our favor

I don't like blaming the weather
but I think it had a big factor, because our advantage was speed all over the field, and the rain takes that away. It had to have some effect

but Tech doesn’t pass well, and they don’t cover speed well on defense, run or pass. Rain effects a fast team more than a slow team, and a passing team much more than a running team.
