As usual, it's time for some picks. First we have some "expert picks" which are followed by my pick and my week 3 locks (though my week 2 locks were anything but locks). Then, finally, be sure to give us your predictions below.
Chris Mortensen - SD | Adam Schefter - SD | Ron Jaworski - SD |
Tom Jackson - Mia | Pete Prisco - SD | Harmon Forecast - SD |
PFT - Mia | Peter King - SD | Jason Cole - SD |
Steve Wyche - SD | Clark Judge - Mia | Mark Schlereth - SD |
I didn't think the Dolphins would get much love this week coming off of a tough loss, on a short week, heading out to the west coast to play a talented Chargers team. And you know what - I see where these guys are coming from.
That's why I'm going to take the Chargers to win as well. I just think that the Dolphins will have a hard time recovering from Monday night's crushing loss. And I don't see a much better performance from Miami's defense this week against Phillip Rivers, Antonio Gates, and company.
The Dolphins will be able to run the ball, but I think they'll struggle to get key stops defensively and that will lead to a Chargers win, 27-23.
My Week 3 Locks
Texans -3.5 over Jaguars - Houston's offense finally got going last week while the Jaguars continue to struggle. This should be a double-digit win for the Texans.
Titans +2.5 over Jets - I just don't see the Titans falling to 0-3 to start the year. They'll stop NY's run and force Mark Sanchez to beat them...and he won't.
Bears -1.5 over Seahawks - Playing in Seattle is never easy. But the Seahawks will likely be without their QB and I expect Matt Forte to finally get going on the ground.
Last Week: 1-2
Season: 1-2
