Indianapolis Signs Hank Basket

Peyton now has another deep threat.  I just hope Will Allen can handle him.  Story can be found here.

Indianapolis has signed former Philadelphia receiver Hank Baskett to take Gonzalez's place, and three-time league most valuable player Peyton Manning hopes he can find his way around the offense fast. The team made the announcement following Thursday's practice.

"Hopefully, we can catch him up as soon as possible," Manning said. "It's a lot of offense to learn in a couple of days, but he's a veteran, so he could help us."

Man, I’m in pain with some ailments this week, but that was worth it, lol!

his best year was last year and its not to impressive

Year Catch Att ctch% Yds Yds/Rec Yds/Att YAC TD
2008 33 51 65% 430 13.3 8.4 4.8 3

Not to impressive if you ask me… I think we have alot better talent on the team than him…

He averaged 22 yards per catch in 2006,

with over 20 catches. That’s a pretty good year too.

Baskett could be active for the game (he's a very good special teamer)

but I don’t expect him to play WR for a while. The Colts offense is complicated, I don’t think he’ll have picked up enough in a week to be able to deal with Peyton’s changes at the line.

It's not just your perceptions that can be wrong. Even your memory is often incomplete or possibly flat out wrong.
