Dolphins to keep only 5 WR's on roster according to SI

Andrew Lawrence is the sportswriter for SI.com whose article you can find here: Dolphins in Training Camp

In the article he quotes Sparano as saying the Phins probably won't keep more than five recievers on the roster when they pare it down to 53. That most likely is good news for Camarillo, Ginn, Bess, Hartline and Turner. Bad news for everyone else including Phinsider favorite Brandon London.

He also notes that currently the Phins have 14 DB's on the roster and then goes on to highlight the struggles against the pass last year. Yuk.

i find this pretty odd

that sparano has repeadly said in his pressers (even this weeks) that who makes the teams and the numbers at each position is one of the things that is up in the air….

is 5 wr’s the likely number…. it usually is on a roster, but it is WAY to early to say they won’t keep 6 and sparano said as much – so i find this story bunk especially when the local fish wrappers haven’t even hinted that sparano is planning to keep only 5.

and in reading the article closely

i don’t believe it is well written, but sparano isn’t saying 5 is the magic number, the writer is saying the phins will likely only keep 5.

It reads to me like he's quoting Sprano....

rather than suggesting they’ll only keep five. I dunno.

poorly written

all that sparano is quoted as saying is …. “we’re going to have hard decisions to make”….
it says he said they’ll likely keep 5 … but there is no quote associated with it…. and why would he tell this guy that and none of the local phish wrapers during the pressers???

I think it will be 5,

but who knows, and I also think that Hartline is not a lock, TC has just started, there is a whole month left, a lot can happen in a month.

Unless someone else REALLY steps up the locks are Camarillo, Ginn, Bess, Hartline and Turner with London making #6 IF they keep 6.

That catch against the steJ,

was one of the most important catches of the year for the Fins, that catch was money, making a play in a big spot, plus all the great ST plays he’s provided.
