I would consider my self a diehard dolphins fan .. so much that I even try to mix it up with the likes of some of you guys.  With that being said sometimes the downfall of being a diehard  is you think you are seeing things that really aren't there at this time of year (ie A playoff team in '07 that went 1-15).  So coming off the great season that was last year and that being followed up by what I would call one of the best offseasons I have been a part of I am at a alltime high as a phins fan in terms of pride maybe since Marino has left.  

So with all of that being said I'm about to point out the obvious to the most of you and show you what is really getting me excited about next season: 

1. DEPTH !!!!! - what a difference a year makes in terms of depth this team seems to be putting out on the roster especially at CB, OL, WR and OLB (in comparision to '08).  It seems like we still have some areas that are going to need a little help but really its more of just the development of the young players we have in those spots.  While we didn't have many injuries last year I feel like we are much better prepared to deal with them this season.  
2. Shaun "Frickin" Murphy - while I was like most of you just hoping this guy could provide as a solid backup this "frickin" guy has been working with the starters the entire week (with some breaks that is).  The fact Sparano has come out speaking about this guy is a big indictor for me that he has improved BIGTIME ... so hear is to Donald Thomas getting better (who I think will be the starter)and now we have a bonafide backup incase either Thomas or Smiley go down again.
3. JT - enough said !!!!! he will be a monster again and people keep writing him off, I havn't even read an article write outside of Miami about what he can bring to the team this season.  The thought of Roth being hurt hasn't even bothered me with this beast stepping in and taking his rightful spot on the roster.
4. WR'S - these guys are stepping up everyway.  Bess is looking huge, Camirillo is back and ready to go, Ted Ginn will have a breakout year, London and Hartline lighting it up and I also can't believe everything I have read so far about Patrick Turner .. if this kid is the real deal I will personally petition ESPN to get rid of the idiot Mel Kiper, this guy thinks his opinions of people are perfect yet everytime he speaks all I see is crap coming from his mouth.  NFL draft will be the only one I watch from now on .. PERIOD.

That's all I got to say for now.  Can't wait til we play Jacksonville in a week an a half and the rest of the spots shakedown.
