Dolphins Down to 66 Players

PrintThe Dolphins are now down to 66 players after waiving Anthony Armstron, Connor Barth, and Louis Ellis. Joe Kowalewski was injured/waived as well.
The Dolphins are cutting players left and right now, and nobody is safe. It looks like Brandon London will make the team now that Armstrong was cut, but you never know. Look for Ellis to make the practice squad if he clears waivers.
Barth getting cut means that Dan Carpenter has won the kicking competition between the two. It looked pretty even to me but Carpenter had the edge, and looks to have a little ore leg strength.
Who will be the next to get cut for the Fins in their quest to get down to 53 players, and will the Dolphins trade anybody in the upcoming days? I'm looking for Lex Hilliard to get traded down the stretch, possibly after the last pre-season game.

I had high hopes for Ellis
but its all good since Paul is picking up the pace. I’m assuming we will have at least one NT on the Practice squad.

Today's cuts
I thought we set up the practice squad after the last cuts are made. If that’s the case, none of these players are going to the PS.
That they let go of Ellis suggests that they have a lot of confidence in Soliai. I think he’s been really solid in the preseason.
The other guys were camp fodder. Looks like Dan Carpenter won the battle of the kickers. No surprise there, as Carpenter has improved over the past few weeks and is even doing better on kickoffs. Armstrong not making it isn’t surprising, as he hasn’t lived up to expectations. Kowaleski was just here to split reps with Polite.
61 will make either the team or the PS. The big question is who will be the next 5 off the train?
It feels like we are getting SOOOOO close to the real deal !!! Football season ( games that count ) is almost here !!!

I like our WRs and as much as I hate to admit it, it still seems like we don’t have one KILLER like Moss or T.O. (I know there really aren’t that many of those guys). What it be a bad idea to sign Marvin Harrison? I feel like he might get really juiced for this season and prove that he still has it.

I think BL
is still fighting for a roster spot with Hartline, but I think Sparano has a man crush on Hartline, I think Hartline was his pick and he is doing everything he can to get him on this team.
I would still take London over Hartline, he makes more plays on ST and is a bigger stronger faster guy, he made two nice catches and proved to be tough to bring down on both.
Hartline is getting twice the amount of snaps of any WR and is not producing until the scrubs come in.
