Sean Smith and Jason Allen return to team

After initial fears that cornerbacks Sean Smith and Jason Allen might have swine flu, it seems as though they are just fine.
After missing Saturday's game, both Smith and Allen are back working at practice today. In fact, Omar Kelly is reporting that Smith is back at the starting cornerback spot - the one he has been working at since the second week of camp. So it turns out that while the Dolphins did indeed inform the team that their teammates may have swine flu, they were indeed just taking precautions for a "worst-case scenario."
I'd imagine Tony Sparano will have more information for us following today's practice - which began at 2 pm. But the important info to note is that both Sean Smith and Jason Allen are back at practice - with Smith continuing to work with the starting defense.
We can all now breath a sigh of relief.

i am pretty sure that i had about 2 or 3 weeks before it became an epidemic and well known …well anyway it sucks balls, and i am happy that Smith and J. Allen will avoid the misery that is the Swine Flu
and on a side note
sorry i havent been around the last week or so…i have been busy moving into my apartment in AZ and today was the 1st day of class =/

I’ve wanted to post this as a fanshot but u can’t on mobile.
The man was hurt in college, has been through a lot of changes in position & systems. We really don’t know what we have. He steps up when we really need him, he’s not the worst. There is a reason we have been keeping him.
I don’t think he was worth a first but he could be a good decent player one day.. There’s lot more I want to see but my touch screen is actin Favre.

Can’t imagine the sheer panic had it really been swine flu. People are so scared of this thing. Like we suddenly live in the middle ages and the plague is sweeping the world or something.
Anyway, Smith is a stud, we definitely got a steal with him, and I think Jason Allen will step his game up this year (2nd year at the same position in the same system, a first for the kid). I think he’s a better CB than he is a safety because he just has to cover his guy, not read a whole bunch of backfield keys then fly over the top of everything. It’s easier for him, because he just has to use his natural ability. IF he can truly “get it” and come into his own as a CB, we suddenly are VERY deep at that position.

I saw a report that said that the swine flu epidemic is really at the beginning of a pandemic. They were predicting over 2 million to die from it over the next 3 to 5 years.
It was by a highly respected MD.
