Stuck in Iraq with questions...

Hey guys, I am currently deployed to Iraq and am only able to follow via write-ups. I saw the numbers from the Jax game and was wondering whats up with Lex Hilliard? I imagine his carries were late in the game, but he still put up some good numbers. Can anyone fill me in on this. Also our Team Report on Yahoo is saying that Hartline has moved in front of Turner since OTA's is this true? Can Hartline be our real steal in the draft (6'2" 186)? What are the other outlooks on this kid; speed, route running, etc?

lex hilliard

played really good this guy has no fear and is a juggernaut. will not try to go around the defender, he will go through them. looks like an elite running back to me, too bad we already have ronnie, ricky, cobbs… all are more versatile, all can block and recieve, i doubt hilliard makes the practice squad. Someone will pick him up.
brian hartline is just an all around good receiver, can get open and make the catch. hartline had a couple drops but he was targeted more times in the preseason then hartline.

…against the jags 2nd/3rd string defense. ran hard though. hopefully we can stash him on the practice squad in case one of our other rb’s go down

im stuck over here with ya bud. what part of iraq are u in? u definitely found the right place to keep up with fins action. matty put up a post a few days ago that ran through the first few series of the game play by play.

D is B – thanks for your response! Thats too bad we are deep .. sounds like the guys has potential – thats what I was thinking when I saw his numbers. And things are looking promising for Hartline from what I read.

Whats up doc. I am stuck at FOB Normandy, MND-N. What about you? I have been raving about the finsider to my fellow dolphans for a while. This is definitely the place to be!

hey, i’m in anbar province at Camp Korean Village and i got tickets to the opener in atlanta waiting at home for my R&R, can’t wait. usnavydolpan, i’m not sure where that is, but i ran into only one dolphin fan since i been here. and i agree this blog is awesome.

a loss if we lose him and get nothing in return. He seemed to run pretty hard through the holes when they were there. Would like to see him when the first units are in.

Iraq DolFans

Doc – My batallion is in speicher – our XO is a Pats fan. I know that base is pretty big, but if you get a chance to drop by the EOD compound you should ask for the XO (he’s got that damn Mass accent) – tell him the pats suck. Seriously I gave that guy so much hell about the ass whoopin last year – he’s a good sport and it would come out of the blue. Let me know. Also I may be heading back with you – My wife is due the end of Sept so they are flying me home early.

Anbar Fan – yeah there are a bunch of us that are lurking in the waters everywhere! Hopefully you find some more fans to talk trash with this season. Be safe out there – not sure where Camp Korean Village is, but I spent a few months in Ramadi last year.

Kuwait Fan – this is the place to be. Matty is the king! Not to leave out Rizzo, Alpha, Dolphan Dave and the other top bloggers here.
