True Fans(formerly titled Loyalty)

I mean it’s pretty ridiculous for someone to say that. Because here’s the deal, do we love the players or de we love the team? The other question to consider is what exactly happened to make the player leave? When it came to Thomas and Taylor I was very sad to see them go and I was kinda pissed at JT. I honestly wouldve probably written JT off until he retired at least if he had signed with the patsies. Why? His only reason wouldve been for more money or a ring. Plus it made sense for him to come back to us.With Thomas I wasnt mad at him at all. The bro got cut and wouldve stayed if he could.

As far Favre; he’s a dick. He put the pack through the ringer and basically did the same thing with the Vikes except now that he’s back. And on a side note I dont care what anyone says about the system he’s in now he knows it so well so hell do better, blah blah blah; If im a vikes fan, Im wishing the season would be over already so we could draft a new qb and not put up with Favre blowing a playoff run again. So in this case if I was a packers fan I would hope Raji snaps both his legs the first shot he gets. Why? because he’s over the hill and he’s too prideful to call it quits. Plenty of other players wouldve loved to keep playing but have given it up because its their time. There’s a fine line between maturity and immaturity. And Favre doesn’t know where that line is.

I have always like the type of player that gives 110% & wears his heart on his shoulder. I use to consider Farve that type of guy. Now, it just seems all to played out ………..phoney. Can’t wait to see him go down in flames !!

but I’ll do it again. I think what he said was bs. The fans that supported him the most must feel so betrayed from him going to one of their most hated rivals. When I look at it, I think what if Marino decided to go play for the Jets? I would feel so betrayed by a fan of the team he made his career out of. I wouldn’t even be able to respect him.

if the coach has the balls to bench Farve if he isnt performing. Can you see him standing on the sidelines with Rosenfels playing and leading his team into the playoffs?

I still like Wes Welker, I still like Bryan Cox, I got to like them when they were down here, and I really liked the way they play and approach the game, so I wish them good luck in their careers, If a friend transfered to a rival school would you hate them and call them a traitor, or if they went to work for a rival company would you say those things.

If that was true, what would that say about your loyalty to your friends, remember, this is a job for these guys, do you think Favre grew up a Packers fan in Mississippi, our own Tuna has worked for the Jets and Pats, so then isn’t he a traitor, shouldn’t we then hate him, and Pennington as well, unloyal traitors both!

Why do we think we have the right to tell someone when they should stop living their dream, If I thought I could still play, and a team was willing to pay me, I would be there, and I don’t begrudge anyone following their dream, cuz when it’s over, thats it, no more, all done, weren’t we all cheering when Pennington “gave it” to his old team, Favre was shown the door by the Pack, a team he gave his all to, and they decided they were going in a different direction, so is loyalty a one way street, the player has to be loyal to the team, but not the team to the player.

then I say, keep doing what you love while you can. But he’s a giant attention-whore, sobs in his press conferences about how “hard this decision was to come to” and four months later homeboy is shopping himself and telling us that “it’s just not time yet”.

No one knows his true motives, but the way it is being depicted and the way his actions are speaking, it looks like he is doing this to spite the Packers for shelving him and upgrading.
