One terribly akward moment that is. This terrible, yet still strangely exciting moment was had by yours truly,  the Doc.  Well, of course at the time i wasnt the Doc,  i was at that time the pizza making guy.  The hours and minutes surrounding the moment have become hazy,  but the 2 seconds that it took to transpire are crystal clear.  The year, if i recall correctly was 2004,  somewhere in the deadzone of football,  july i believe.  The place,  The Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood Florida.   So there i was,  feeding one of my addictions at the poker tables.  I dont remember how many hands i had played,  or what table i was sitting at.  Heck, i dont even remember if i was winning.  But what i do remember is when the guy next to me said "hey, i think thats Jason Taylor".   Of course, without hesitation i spun my neck almost 180 degrees,   i must have looked like an owl.  To my excitement,   it was indeed JT.  He was playing a single table tournament.   As im looking on,  i notice a guy on the table in front of him.  I only noticed this guy because his shoulders seemed to connect directly to his head,  no neck at all.  The guy is a sort of dirty blonde,   and built like a wall.   Any guesses?   Well,   your probably right,  it was Zack  Thomas.   He is also playing a sit and go.   Naturally i want to know how two of the most popular athletes in miami are at playing poker, so i check out their stacks.  Zack was up,  at least double,  so i get out my Metro PCS phone and call my brother who is also a poker player.  I said to him, quietly "Dude, you are never going to believe who is here playing poker".   He replied with "Ok , well who is it".   "Its Jayson Taylor AND Zack Thomas".   So this next question he asked me has always been a mystery,  but he asked me  "How is Zack doing?".  Why Greg,  why did you ask me only about Zack??  Well,  thats not the point, the point is , i took one more look at Zacks chip stack,  and no longer able to control my excitement,  i yelled into the phone "Zack is doing really good!!".  It was right then my 2 seconds of terror/ joy began.  HE HEARD ME.  Not only did he hear me, but he shot a stare at me that downright freaked me out.  I looked for a second before averting my eyes from the great one,  somehow thinking that maybe he wouldnt know it was me.  But it was too late.  That was my one moment in time (with Zack Thomas).
