2009 - Great Year
Of course we need Pennington to have great year for the Dolphins to get to the playoffs. Of the other Dolphin players who has to have a superb season for us to make it to the promised land. In my opinion, Brown didnt have a career last year, a good year coming off the injury, but i think this year with the teams we are playing Ronnie is one player that has to get it done(1300+ Yards). This will help us control time of possession and keep those other QBs off the field. My other 2 players that i feel we need to have great years this year are Crowder and Taylor. If these 2 guys step it up, i think the defense will feed off their emotions and step up their play. So what 3 players do you feel need to step it up for us to make it to the playoffs?
Ronnie, Ginn, Bess, Camarillo, Ricky, Taylor, Crowder, Porter, Ferguson, Davis, Smith, Allen, Roth, Merling etc....
Go Phins...

it will be really hard for ronnie to get more touches/yards
sharing the backfield with ricky. if those 2 can combine for 1600+ yards, we should be on the right track.

DiB
i hope he does. But at the sametime, coach is gonna wanna keep him fresh late into the season, which means shared workload and less yards. yeah he was on track in 2007, but we also did not have the all knowing and all wise trifecta leading the way.

hes our best playmaker
i say if u wanna have a chance to play in the playoffs u put the ball in his hands as much as possible. no point in keepin him fresh if we dont make the playoffs

this could be another debate that goes in circles....
u make it sound like there is no other run option besides rb. rw is pretty descent last i remember. not to mention pat white, who im sure will take a few carries away from ronnie every game. so, i say if ronnie can get higher yards per carry but not necessarily a ton of touches, things will work out better. especially in the postseason, when we will really need rb to turn it up.

Just one.
The offensive line.
And all will be good…
Armchair QB's always complete the pass and armchair coaches always pick the right players.
Yes, Larry Little is still the man.
Same here
If the offensive line plays like we all hope we will have a great season.

Ronnie, the O-line, and the Defense
I think that if we have a strong O-line and even stronger Defense then we could be unstoppable (for the most part)

any team with a great RB that can get 1300+ yards a strong O line and better Defence
would be unstoppable but not the phins
theres no way this season they get a winning record

did you switch accounts to come over here and diss on the team that won the AFC East last year? You could have just done it as Pats4life or whatever your other account is

Jake Grove, Donald Thomas, and Sean Smith
Abandoned the Draft Sean Smith at #25 Bandwagon to Join the Draft Sean Smith at #61 Bandwagon and get Vontae Davis and Chris Clemons. Trio > me.
That sounds about right. However, I do want to see the wide receivers and the tight ends put up big numbers.

i agree w/ ya kdock
we have alot of good targets this year. connecting with them and spreading the ball to all of them will be key , and we know we have to qb to make that happen. ya know what play always sticks in my mind when i think about us throwing downfield, is that pass from cp10 to gin in the last game vs the jets, when gin ran up the middle of the field, beat both defenders and penny launched the ball about 40 yards, and ginn had to stop, come back between both defenders to get it. if what they say about penny (that his arm is getting stronger) i cant wait to see some more pass plays like that.

Grove and Thomas
are definitely keys to Ronnie having a big year. If Smith and Davis can contribute all year long, this should be a great defense, especailly with the added pass rush.

Exactly.
And if Crowder steps up like he says he wants to, our defence is gonna be pretty tough. Add him into the other defensive areas we’ve upgraded and I see us as once again having one of the best defenses in the league.

I think that if the entire team steps it up and come together as a team and play like there is no tomorrow, they will be unstopable!
