Is tony sparano losing his edge

Well concerned if Tony Sparano is losing his do what it takes attitude. These concerns come from the freedom he is

giving the team, he gave them two days of of OTA, AND THE LATE START OF TRAINING CAMP.

Compared to other teams with the exception of  the colts jags, giants and seahawks , its a really late start. I think he

might just be getting a little soft, with the limelight of a great season he gave us last year. I would rather him not lose

that do what it takes attitude he has always had last year. We have alot of rookies to get up too par, alot of work on our

secondary we need figuring out, and the late start does not make much sense to me. We just might need those two to

three extra practice days to figure some of our kinks out. I dont know what do u guys think has he gone soft or hes just  431-4730292

being smarrt by giving them some extra family and rest time.

Two extra days of freedom before he works their arses off!

TS is KING. He will work them til they fall over in camp. Besides, what can you tell about them in OTA – As JT said they were in pajamas!

I don't mind the late start

Think about it. What is the majority of the start of training camp? Conditioning. What advantage do we have over some of the other teams? It’s HOT AS HELL IN SOUTH FLORIDA IN LATE SUMMER! Guys are going to get into shape much quicker in MIami than in say Indianapolis, Seattle, New York, Chicago.

I don’t think Coach has changed anything. I think he’s going to crush these guys once they get there.

da'no a booty call is already in the work's!

i think if thay are smart, lot’s of running in the south florida heat. sand fallowed up by a 3 mile swim is all that’s needed! twice a day, opp’s some might lose to much weight. keep doing what your doing should servise, but if you want to be the very best. you need to tug on superman’s cape & spit into the wind…

Best way to define a troll I guesss

Is someone who isn’t a regular contibutor to a site, registers and posts/comments items designed to incite a reaction. You’ll see it a lot during the season as other teams will have trolls show up on our site (and I know we have trolls on their sites…).

Anyone able to explain it better?

from wikipedia:

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response1 or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

100 percent turnout at OTAs and in the weight room all off season

Offense and defense coaches certainly putting in extra hours planning and preparing for the upcoming season…personel evaluations stemming from rookies to veterans…a core defense and offense that was in place last season so nobody has to learn something completely new (save for rookies, of course – and also the rumored spread offense package that may or may not happen). Getting rookies signed to contracts to avoid holdouts. There’s probably a million things that need to be done before now and training camp…the biggest thing about training camp is that it gets guys on the team to work together and gain some comaraderie…thanks to Pennington’s 100% turnout BBQ, I think they’re doing okay in that area.

Bottom line? I think it’s safe to say that Sparano has things well in hand and that those extra days won’t be filled with beer pong and ho-ho eating contests.

Stop the whining!

Until you have something to whine about!

Good God! I have never heard such BS whining from Fins fans in my life!…Oh, I want Henne and Chad P is a noodle arm…what if Pat White can’t run the Wildcat…what if Vontae Davis can’t beat out Sean Smith and he’s a bust like Jason Allen…we shoulda drafted Hakeem Nicks not Patrick Turner…why Hartline?…why Nalbone? We don’t need a TE…we shoulda drafted a guard…what if Ferguson gets hurt?…Parcells anin’t what he used to be…waa..waa..waa!

I think it’s because most of you weren’t around in the expansion years or in the mid-70s, the days when the Dolphin “dyansty on the make” went south (Southmen?) with the WFL taking Zonk away, the mid-years with that Shula-first losing record (1976 with 6-8…I was crushed that year!), and the later 70s when the Killer Bs were being built, we got Zonk back, Nat Moore, Duriel Harris and that awesome “Hook & Lateral” playoff vs. chargers in 1981 the Fins lost in OT, and finally, getting Marino to replace Griese, but heartbreaker never winning the Super bowl with him. Gee was there more or less whining during that 2004-2007 drought?

Suck it up, guys! the Dolphins are fine and are going to the Super Bowl in 2010, 2011, or 2012, and winning it.

As for Brady, I’ll be very surprised is he is still the best QB in the NFL. the “Patriots dynasty” is dead and gone.

calm down snorky i saw the double blog the bs whining is doto the option we have to much time on our hand's

the fact is there seam’s to be alot said about nothing & nothing said about alot. mostly i’ve seen in the past like when, (a team) one year come’s up with a gimmic. i’m not saying that this is a gimmic(white cat) but then the next year. it get’s slamed by reporter’s & media alike. some one will say that there was a reason that it was ditched way back in the 30’s & 40’s becouse they (the nfl) came up with something new. just saying it seam’s like a lot of razzel dazzel, & there was something better to put on the field back then so just saying not to get to over the top if prudencie was not reach in your mind of corce. oh i mean that in a good way!!!!

Last year he had to make a statement.

Last year JT was an outcast, is Coach Sparano soft for leading the way for JT’s return? The team knows that TS is boss. He doesn’t need to slap them around, they respect him. When the players hit the field, Sparano will be the same tough guy.

12-4 in 2009.

by phatfinfan on Jul 3, 2009 4:51 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

You also have to take into account...

Last year, the ENTIRE team needed to learn a new coaching philosophy, playbook, etc.

This year, the majority of the team already knows all that stuff.

If Sparano read this, he’d come to your house, call you names that question your sexuality and make you run laps.

Don’t doubt, fool. We’re not Patsy fans, we don’t bitch like little girls about any possible what if. We’re not a Super Bowl team in 09, we’re just not. We’re close, just that we’re another year away.

04-07 was four years of Hell. Why can’t we just enjoy Dolphins football for a while without stressing? I’d be smoking three packs a day if I worried like some folks.

Roan, I do not completely agree . . .

1 – If Vonte & Sean play to expected for – then we have a SB quality defense (triple sack threat – how many teams have that?)

2 – If the wide-outs and the O line play to expectations – the we have a SB quality offense (we KNOW we have a quality run game with Ronnie and RunRickyRun.

I expect to see games won that we did not “expect” (as fans – not players) and probably a loss or 2 that was not expected. (steJ 1 time maybe?)

I do not expect the SB this year, but I Do think it is totally possible!

Is this thread wrapped up"?

Rzayo, you jumped in too early, this one served up SB blog hits. Fodder, yet good Dol-fodder…

Larry Little and I both wore 66 in our football careers. I think that means something.
