That’s all these idiot predictions are good for… Actually, the NFL Network’s 16th is higher than most. I think they had the Jets 18th and the Bills 19th. If you go to that site and read Solomon Wilcot’s blurb, that prediction is based on three things: 1. Brady is back (seriously, no one has actually understood that this is pretty meaningless…y’all may be too young to remember but they made that same sorta prediction in 1971 about Namath is back, and the Jets went 5-9 or something like that, that year. Fins won AFC East at 11-3) 2. easy schedule in 2008 (no one seems to realize that the Pats had an easier schedule! If you base difficulty of schedule on previous year’s records, then the Pats had an easier schedule because they played the 1-15 Fins twice!) 3. the Wildcat was a “gimmick” (deosn’t Wilcots know a gimmick is something you use once or twice a year?)

And these prognosticators don’t want to look foolish by doing something no one else is—picking the Dolphins to win the division when everyone is picking the Pats. they have “reputations” to uphold and never mind the fact that no one is supposed to remember their stupid predictions when the season is over. didn’t all of them pick the Fins to win four to six games in 2008? they hate it when a team like the Fins makes them look like idiots!

I’d really like to see where they place the Cowboys, the Falcons, the Vikings, the Bears, the Cardinals, the Ravens, the Texans (yeah, yeah, the darlings of 2009—they’ll be lucky to finish third again…AND THEY WILL NOT BEAT THE DOLPHINS THIS YEAR!), and the rest of the “favorites” that the Fins will do better than!
