Video Time: Dolphins vs Raiders 2008

Saturdays during the offseason mean one thing here at "The Phinsider" - videos!

Continuing on with our look back at the magical 2008 season, we turn our attention now to the week 11 game against the Raiders. It was closer than we all would have hoped, but the Dolphins found a way to get it done - capped by a Dan Carpenter (or DC$) game-winning field goal.

The first video is of Ted Ginn's reverse that he takes to the house. The second one is the Dolphins' game-winning drive in its entirety. Both videos are after the jump to conserve "front-page" space.

Ginn

Was great. Nice reverse run breaking tackles and that critical catch on 4th down. Pennigton was being himself and DC$ was on target as usual.

in the 09 season.....

we better beat up on teams like st. louis, oakland and seattle (who had seneca at qb). Thats what good teams do…stomp on bad teams

Hey!

I want to know where the heck was Gibril Wilson on that reverse play?! I hope he’s better than that, I didn’t see him doing too much in those clips. :-)

I like seeing that spread offense though. Hopefully with the better receivers we can run that more often and more efficiently.

That drive is why I love Chad Pennington.....

and why I roll with him.

all the right reads….all the way down the field…..under pressure….clock management….everything you can ask a qb to do with the game on the line.

i love chad henne….im just not ready to get rid of this true professional leader

I remember this as a very close game....

Something to remember…. their TE KILLED us this game! I think it was Zach Miller, but we need to take note on how TE’s had some affect in passing game vs. our cover backers. Like Rizzy said though, VERY clutch kick by DC$.

I remember lamenting the pesky Special Teams problems we had...

this game was almost lost because of ST. Not much has been talked about special teams in the OTA coverage so far. I’m guessing it’ll start being more of a topic in the pressers before too long.

we all get so caught up in the “skill players,” we forget about stuff like special teams. we need to do a MUCH better job this year if we hope to duplicate last year’s success.
