Roster Roulette: Final Edition

Ok, so there have been some skeptics about the complete roster that I made up, and specifically, the number of players that I put on the roster. But, to solve that problem, I have decided to post a final edition of Roster Spot Roulette, featuring  everyone that I think will make the roster, to clear some things up.

Offense:

Quarterbacks: Chad Pennington, Chad Henne, Pat White

Running Backs: Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Patrick Cobbs

Full Back: Lousaka Polite

Wide Receivers: Ted Ginn Jr, Greg Camarillo, Davone Bess, Patrick Turner, Brian Hartline, Anthony Armstrong

Tight Ends: Anthony Fasano, David Martin, Joey Haynos

Left Tackles: Jake Long, Andrew Gardner

Left Guards: Justin Smiley, Andy Alleman

Centers: Jake Grove, Joe Berger

Right Guards: Donald Thomas, Shawn Murphy

Right Tackles: Vernon Carey, Ikechuku Ndukwe

Defense:

Defensive Ends: Phillip Merling, Kendall Langford, Lionel Dotson, Randy Starks, Tony McDaniel

Defensive Tackles: Jason Ferguson, Paul Solia

Linebackers: Channing Crowder, Akin Ayodele, Joey Porter, Jason Taylor, Matt Roth, Cameron Wake, Charlie Anderson, Erik Walden

Cornerbacks: Will Allen, Sean Smith, Vontae Davis, Eric Green, Nathan Jones

Safeties: Yeremiah Bell, Gibril Wilson, Chris Clemons, Tyrone Culver

Specialists:

Kicker: Dan Carpenter

Punter: Brandon Fields

Long Snapper: John Denney

Practice Squad:

Louis Ellis, NT

Chris Williams, WR

Lex Hilliard, RB

J.D. Folsom, LB

Nate Garner, OT

John Nalbone, TE

Brennon Marion, WR

After reviewing the previous rosters that I made up, I had to make some cuts myself. So, the players that were unlucky enough to not even make my roster, after further review were: Jason Allen, and Reggie Torbor, and some of the prominent names that missed the cut were Brandon London, Ernest Wilford, Joey Thomas, Nate Garner, Louis Ellis, Jared Bronson, Rodrique Wright, and Quentin Moses. Ok, so here are the rosters, tell me what you think in the comments.

I'm lost.

You have Andrew Gardner listed on the roster and on the practice squad. But you also say he was cut in your final paragraph.

Fixed it

It was a typo, I was looking at Gardner’s profile the whole time that I was doing the roster! lol

I think that....

Brandon London makes it over Armstrong because of his special teams play….And I don’t think they keep 11 active O-Linemen, I think they’ll keep 9 or ten and open up one or two more roster spots…..And i hate to say it, but i think they’ll use that spot for Ernest Wilford….

Despite all of the depth at wr, and lb..

the Dolphins main priority is the trenches, and if they have to do that by cutting a wr or LB, then so be it.

Ah, now that is much better

Still I don’t think there is a snowballs chance in hell they keep 11 O-linemen, they aren’t versatile enough, and the same feelings about just 5 CBs, you need 6 in todays pass happy NFL.

And NO ROTH???? we’ll see the reign of Queen Dick before they cut Roth, and no back up inside LB, Sparano has said he would LIKE to keep extra LBs, I think 5 WR and 8 or 9 LBs.

GOOD job though 341:>)

So who gets cut in Roth's and Torbor's place?

Completely left Roth out, not on purpose though. Let me fix that.

Exactly, that is why this is fun, because it could go either way. In a way, I’m playing Mel Kiper lol. Making my predictions way too early.

I have to agree with the Oline agrument and one of the main factors in that would be the fact V. Carey can play both left and right so if Jake goes down we only need another right backup or if Carey goes down we still only need that same player to step in. I would have to say Alleman takes the bullet on this one.

I also think you are missing something really big in this and that is Special Teams. Both London and Jason Allen excelled in that area last season and I think they will continue to make the squad because of that. Armstrong will be on the Practice Squad because of his lack of ST play with London taking his spot on the Roster and Allen will fill in for any replaced lineman.

Great Work and it will be interesting to see in a couple months how far off you really are.

Roster Roulette

You’re going to have some trouble with that roster as you have no backup inside LB’s on your final list…. I doubt we cut torber..big cap hit… I would think we only keep 9 OLmen instead of 10..I think Sprano will keep those who give position flexibility as he says.. I like your OLB picks, but another hard decision may come there, and unless Brian is a beast during TC and PS on specail teams.. London may have the edge..he’s shown what he can do in that area.
