I think eric green will start the first few games
with smith and davis rotating in as #3 cornerbacks. Once these two are comfortable in the nfl, then one of them will get a chance to start.
Ted Ginn is the man.

This is a consistent observation on Paul Soliai...
… which makes it seem we have a legitimate replacement for Ferguson.
Wish we heard more from the rookie NT Louis Ellis.

it looks like the battle for the 6th receiver spot
will be between london and armstrong. i think ginn, camarillo, and bess are absolute locks. i also don’t see turner or hartline not making the team. wilford will likely not be back, unless he really impresses as a TE

I think...
Ginn, Camarillo, Bess, Turner, Hartline and London will be the final WR’s. Armstrong’s only 5’11" vs. London’s 6’4". Reach is gonna help him out IMO.
Also, anyone else worrying about the consistent “bad” reports about White?
time to worry? heh.

Everytime I hear the White is struggling
I just cant keep from thinking that Clint Sintim SHOULD have been the pick at #42.

it's VERY early
and Sparano said that White had completed 67% of his passes leading up to the minicamp. So let’s not freak out. Give him time.

it’s VERY early
LOL you could say thats an understatement, its great to hear guys are doing good, but its not time to anoint or denounce anyone yet, they havn’t even worn pads yet.

you know that...
…it’s never too early for a Dolphin QB. They are expected to perform at a high level from day 1, and if they don’t, the pressure starts building up daily for their ejection.
It’s sad (because it makes reading fan forums that much of a drag), but true.
If Henne/White/whoever needs a few months, we should give him a few months. If he needs 2-3 years, we should give him 2-3 years. This is reality, not Dolfan Fantasy Land.

every time i hear someone
gets deep
Anthony Armstrong beat Eric Green for a long touchdown.
it pretty much reads player X, Y, or Z beat Eric Green for a long touchdown….
which is pretty much everything I read/heard about the guy from the AZ people….
decent run supporter, but gets burned far to frequently deep.
I usually try to stay away from wishing ill upon people players, so i’ll stay positive, I hope they trade EG to someone else (preferably someone in the AFC east) before the start of the season.

missed one
Ronnie Brown making a fingertip catch at the goal-line following a 50 yard pass from Chad Henne
according to PFT …. it should read Ronnie Brown…. from Chad Henne after blowing by Eric Green.

A month or so back
i think it was Crowder that said “Wake was as strong as an ox” and now he’s flashing that 4,49 speed he was clocked at in Canada, now we’re starting to find out why his team mates up there called him The Athletic Freak!
Seems to me he could be called the same thing in the NFL, lets hope he can translate his enormous physical gifts, to the football field.

Love the pressure on...
London and Green. Toast ? Could be. No time for sentiments for your favorites as the list keeps a churnin.
My crystal balls tell me we have an addition on our radar. Not sayin who, but what position do you guys think?
RB?
P?
K?
ILB?
etc ???
scored ZERO in draft predictions - I suck -

and now
the longest part of the offseason begins, the time between OTA’s and training, when we start rummaging for any small piece of information about football.
Some things to speculate on…
1. Will be defensive line’s young talent be able to step up, especially against the run? I’d like to see some improvement out of Langford and Starks on this count, and I’d like to see something from Dotson, who reportedly has shaped up during the offseason.
2. Will the offense be able to improve it’s run blocking? Poor run blocking last year was the impetus for the Wildcat, which was far more successful that anyone would have imagined. But in order to keep up the element of surprise, they’re going to need to run out of their base offense much more effectively. That will be key to keeping opposing defenses on their toes.
3. Can Chad Henne show signs of being our QB of the future? I’m going to be watching training camp and the preseason games very closely here.
4. Can some of our young WR’s step up and make an impact this season? I’m looking at Ginn, Bess, and Turner especially here.
5. Will we be able to generate a more effective pass rush out of different angles? I’d like to see how having Porter and Taylor as a dual threat will work out.
6. Will our special teams coverage units be significantly improved from last year? My suspicion is YES, since the bottom third of the roster has been significantly upgraded since last year. We lost the Texans game because of breakdowns here and almost lost a handful. Folks we can’t shoot ourselves in the foot here.
7. And of course, will Ronnie Brown have a complete breakout year. In 2007, he was turning into an elite RB before injury sidetracked him. While I’m not looking for any specific yardage numbers from him (carries will likely be split again with Ricky Williams), I’m going to be looking at 4.5 to 4.7 YPG as a benchmark for improvement out of him. Another pedestrian season and I"d suggest giving him his walking papers.
These are just a few interesting questions to ponder during the slowest time of the offseason.
