Poor guy. One day he’s making 2 million bucks… the next he’s making license plates.

Dotson was no where near as good last year, inactive for 14 games, Starks started 4 games and practically split time with Langford the whole season, and he did a good job, there was no drop off when he came in.

Truth; Dotson wasn’t good enough to suit up for most of the games last year; Sparano had enough confidence to play Starks in any situation, goal line or third and 20, if it was his turn to be in, then it was his turn to be in, thats how much confidence Sparano had in him.

I hope McDaniel works out, but the fact is, he is coming to a new defense, playing a different position, has durability questions and his last team gave up on him, traded him for a 7th round pick, do you think we would have traded Starks for a 7th round pick?

McDaniel and/or Dotson may work out, and I hope they do, but remember what your asking, for two guys who were not as good as Starks last year, to replace him, and we are already missing our best DE from last year in Holliday.

IMO he is very important to our success next year, I hope this whole incident is overblown, and we don’t have to find out how we would do without him.
