ESPN Fantasy Football Projections: Miami Dolphins

Over at the Buc 'Em blog The Bull Gator posted the team fantasy predictions for the Buccaneers. It was such a top job that I thought I'd do the same for our Miami Dolphins. What better way to see what the ESPN Fantasy Football 'gurus' think our Fins will do.

Star-divide

Quarterbacks

Chad Pennington - #146 Overall -2,454 yards, 14 TDs, 8 INTs

Chad Henne - #343 - 844 yards, 3 TDs, 6 INTs

Running Backs - rushing / receiving

Ronnie Brown - #27  - 1135 yards rushing, 7 TDs / 287 yards receiving, 1 TDs

Ricky Williams - #125 - 582 yards, 2 TDs / 193 yard

Patrick Cobbs - #222 - 61 yards / 144 yards, 2 TDs

Wide Receivers
- Receiving / Rushing

Ted Ginn Jr. - #109 - 809 yards receiving, 5 TDs / 13 yards rushing

Greg Camarillo - #192 - 673 yards, 3 TDs

Davone Bess - #229 - 475 yards, 2 TDs

Ernest Wilford - #437 - 76 yards

Tight Ends

Anthony Fasano - #210 - 439 yards, 3 TDs

David Martin - #291 - 303 yards, 2 TDs

Defense / Special Teams

Miami Dolphins D/ST - #136 - 4 Return TDs / 108 PTS

Ranked as the #8th best Defense, #10th in points

Kicker

Dan Carpenter - #427 - 103 points

Ranked as the #27 best Kicker

QB/RB

Pat White - #425 - 172 yards passing, 2 TDs, 0 INTs / 248 yards rushing, 1 TDs

Team Statistics

Passing  - 3470 yards, 19 TDs, 14 INTs

Rushing - 2026 yards, 10 TDs

Receiving - 3404 yards, 18 TDs

Note: Added them up, 66 yards 1 TD are unaccounted for meaning Turner, Hartline, London or other receiver contributions.

Miami's 10th ranked (3,362 yards) pass attack last year does not take much of hit (-162 yards) as our 11th ranked (1897 yards) rushing attack improves by 129 yards. Miami's offense trades passing yards for rushing yards to maintain the same level of performance, yardage wise, as last year. The negative to this predicted future is that turnovers go up, TDs stay the same as Chad Pennington steps aside, for whatever reason, as Chad Henne lines up behind center for an underwhelming stat line. The positive outlook on this view is that Pat White comes in and plays great for what limited time he is in.

Our wide receivers still underperform as none reach the 1,000 yard marker. Ted Ginn Jr. comes within 191 yards at 809 yard. Camarillo and Bess improve with the usual accurate conservative spread it round play of Chad Pennington. The runningbacks also get involved in the passing games amassing around 500 yards.

Our defense rank is hard to evaluate because it includes special team and defensive touchdowns plus how well we prevent other teams from scoring. Either way Miami is ranked 10 in points and 8th overall in defense.

Overall it looks like Miami is slated to perform better in the running game, slightly more turnovers in the passing, with good defensive performance. Solid looking numbers for Miami.

Too bad it means nothing.

All right, Miami. What say you?

This is the most ridiculous thing I have seen this offseason. Wow, this part of the offseason REALLY sucks.

Whoa, big shot blogger

A black guy rubbing his dick up and down a 59 year old woman’s window isn’t more ridiculous?

chuckle...

Larry Little and I both wore 66 in our football careers. I think that means something.

LOL, LOL, LOL, get your adverbs here!

Why does he have to be a black guy?

Why can’t he just be “a guy rubbing his dick up and down a 59 year old woman’s window”
or
“a guy rubbing his dick up and down a 59 year old woman”
or
“a guy rubbing his dick up and down a 59 year old”
or
“a guy rubbing his dick up and down”
or
“a guy rubbing his dick up”
or just
“a guy rubbing his dick”

that’s enough dick rubbing for one day, I digress…

i agree it is pretty lame

not dolfinphan for posting it, but ESPN for coming up with it.

no one has any idea what this team is going to look like until toward the end of TC.

Ronnie Brown's projection

Is WAY too low. He will be a top 10 fantasy RB this season, bank on it.
