unfortunately, it’s incredibly accurate. My favorite part of the article is how he shows his complete inability to understand football, when he talks about Jason Taylor (who would be a OLB here) competing with Merling and Langford (who play DE in our 3-4). At least know what defense we play Cote.. Ridiculous. This is why I don’t read the newspapers, and all the Dolphins news I get is from here, NFLN, or PFT (when he’s actually reporting and not thinking or guessing). Even with all the access and sources they have, the papers still spew garbage in an attempt for readers.

I really think someone like this would be much better then any receiver we have at the moment. But at what cost? Some times we do not get the whole scoop.. maybe the cost to get Boldin or bring back Taylor is just too much. shrugs Have faith in the FO I guess right? They did get us 11 wins last season. :)

I happen to agree with a lot of what Cote said.

The Phins FO is still in rebuilding mode and don’t consider the team ready to win the superbowl so they are not willing to give up the “future” for the “present”. You can tell that the FO feels that way because of the draft. Not one of the top 5 picks will contribute in a significant way in ‘09. As Matty stated in a post a week or two ago, Davis and Smith will be nickel and dime backs most likely (Surtain and Madison didn’t start year 1). WR’s (Turner and Hartline) usually take at least 2-3 years before they are productive. White is a rookie QB who will be competing with Henne for back-up and an occasional WildCat role.

By stating that Henne is the starter in ‘10 (Penne will not even be on the roster) the FO has pretty much written off the ’09 season and is gearing up for ’10. That is all Cote was saying. He just stated it in a douche bag way. But that doesn’t mean he is wrong.

it’s good we draft low $ players. but look how n.e. did it, they made that one good draft were they got brady-(in 8th or 18th round) & then started getting kinda older players in the free agentcy department man there has to be a happy mideium somewere. i mean if the lame b.b. can do it wdf!!!!

But what this guy said was out in left field somewhere. Taylor is a nice addition, not a difference maker.

IF he is headed to NE and he is going to do us DOlphins fans like that, screw him. Didn’t he learn anything about karma playing in Washington?
