Who was your favorite draft pick?
So its been 72 hours since the draft and you've had time to read about all the picks and reflect on what transpired. Personally, I played WR so I'm a little biased, so I always prayed the dolphins go after the best receiver available, but I'm not a fan of any of the WR picks. I really really loved Barden and wished the Giants hadnt stolen him from us. Once Britt, Robiskie and Nicks were off the board, I was praying that Barden would fall to us, and he almost did. I'm not convinced he would have been taken from Jeff Ireland's comments on miamidolphins.com but there was a chance. He fits the mold of what they were looking for.
That being said, I gotta say its a toss up between Sean Smith and Pat White, I think both were great picks, with Chris Clemons coming in 3rd place who I think may be a steal in the 5th round. He was the fastest safety at the combine, and its not like he's small either!
I think the edge's gotta go to Pat White though, just because of what I read recently about Parcells plans for the offense. I read that a source within ESPN said Parcells had plans of bringing the spread offense to the NFL back when he was working at ESPN, he had people breaking down tape of Arkansas for him a year while he was still working there. I have a weird feeling that they might really expand it this year, more than you might think. If not this year then maybe next when White is ready and they have enough pieces in place. Even the tackle they picked up late in round 6 supposedly was a guy who played in a system where they ran the unbalanced line, which is part of the wildcat formation. I love the thinking, makes it more exciting to watch, plus you gotta do something different these days in the NFL to get an edge (like stealing defensive signals cough belicheat cough), theres just too much parity.

I would have to say...
Sean Smith… Vontae was a good pick too, but i think that since we traded out of the pick and picked up an extra 5th rounder and still got our guy, it was a pretty good move…And as far as Clemons being a really fast, athletically gifted big guy that will probably( at the least) be a special teams guy…..It sounds alot like another player that’s already on the roster…. ….. JASON ALLEN!!!!

i went with Sean Smith
mainly because of where we picked him…other than that its a toss up between Davis, White, and Smith…i am really excited to see all of them playing this season and feel that all of them can and will contribute for us, and hopefully we will not regret picking any of them

Chris Clemons is my favorite
I’m happy with them all, and I just as excited with Pat White as anyone. However, Clemons is my guy because he seems to be a clone of Bell and Wilson, and he is strong, fast, and experienced. All that for a 5th rounder!

i picked vontae just because i liked how our FO attacked our weakness through the first round
we didn’t trade future draft picks or current players— we stuck with our “reloading” plan and drafted a guy who I think will be awesome in this league. picking smith in the third was not only a steal, but the cherry on top haha

i'm just gay and bubbly over
all the picks… how can one not be when they still have that new player smell…
but given the choice – i’m with pat white since he’s the most dynamic player on the list, where as vonte has the the clearest warts and the dullest new shine…. so if he doesn’t flame out i’ll be happy.

I think this draft was made in the second round
I like what Vantae might be able to do for us, but I love the Smith draft pick, and I am just drooling at what P-Dub might do for us.
It’’s going to be a fun year…even if Colin Cowherd today said we are a 7 win team next year…

Had to go Pat White-
whether he can play or not remains to be seen – but the pick showed the balls this regime has and their willingness to do things their way.

I went with Sean Smith
Because we got such good value for him.
I never thought’ we’d get both Davis and Smith which makes it more awesome.
