Per the South Florida Sun-Sentinel:
The Dolphins agreed to terms with Australian punter Jy Bond to offer incumbent starter Brandon Fields competition this offseason.
Bond, 30, is the son of former Australian Rules player and commentator Graeme Bond.
Apparently, Bond's hang time of 4.9 seconds impressed Dolphins scouts enough to give him a chance to supplant Fields, who averaged 43.9 yards per punt with 24 inside the 20-yard line last season.
Although the Dolphins haven't confirmed a signing yet, Bond is listed on the Dolphins roster on the NFL's Web site.
Some Austrailian Football pedigree on the team can't hurt right?
