PFT is confirming Harvin failed drug test
Up until this point, NFLDraftBible.com was the only media outlet reporting that Percy Harvin tested positive for marijuana at the Combine. But while the other players who that site claimed also failed publicly denied the reports, Harvin and his agent haven't said a peep.
According to ProFootballTalk, that's because Harvin did indeed fail. While PFT certainly isn't accurate 100% of the time, they are on the money more often than not. Mike Florio has good sources and I'm going to trust him on this.

Wonder...
…how far he is going to fall if this is indeed accurate. 2nd round? Might be a good value pick for the Dolphins then if they can overlook the obvious flaw:)

He'll fall to
Detroit at 20. No way he makes it out of the first round. As someone who has watched every one of his games, (as I’m sure all the NFL coaches and GMs have as well), he is way too explosive to not be picked.
I am very disappointed that he failed the test, though. These players know that the test is coming. This just seems to be a “I’m going to smoke and still get picked high” mentality. Like nothing can touch them. Harvin was fronted $300k cash by his agent a few months ago, and must feel that he will still make a ton of money, which he will.
But you have to take into consideration the authority issues a player has when they do this. It is a passive aggressive swipe at the system. I definitely don’t want a Warren Sapp personality on the Fins.
Dolphins and Gators baby!
There's quite a few projections that had him falling out of the first
before this test came to light. If Detroit takes him at 20, they should just pack up and go play in the CFL because they’re clueless.
I’m almost positive he’ll make it to 25, and with this coming out, he’ll most likely last to 44. I like Harvin as much as anyone else here, but he’s not going top 20.

If true
he wont get drafted in first round and will fall combined with the duh wonderlic score.
25th pick - Clay Mathews LB USC
44th pick - Alphonso Smith cb Wake Forest
56th pick - Clint Sintim LB Virginia
86th pick - Fili Moala DT USC
the question now arises
is Florio pulling something out of his ass or is he correct?

most likely
pulling something out of his ass. He sees other agents denying the rumors, Harvin’s camp hasn’t said anything, Florio does some math in his ass head and figures they must be true…
It’s funny how he chastises other media outlets for starting unsubstantiated rumors, then goes on to use the same “throw shit, hit wall” journalism technique.

i dunno
for all of his faults, he’s usually dead on with his bigger stories (like the Nick Saban leaving for ’Bama story)
right..
but only when he has sources or information behind them though.. When he tries to make guesses or assume things, those are the reports he’s usually wrong on… I’m not sure if he’s heard anything or just trying to put 2 and 2 together here..
Not bashing the site really, I love his site, and he’s usually got good info, but I just don’t like when he guesses at stuff..

Hmmm...
If true, I think we can easily look at taking him at 44. Plus, we have the benefit of having Ricky to show him what pot can do to a career.
