POD Mock draft Help

Personally, I think DHB is too big a boom-or-bust for us to be riding our chances on him. If we were to take a WR at 25, we take either Nicks or Britt (preferably the former). However, our biggest need is at CB, so if Davis/Butler/S.Smith are available they have to be the pick. That’s just based on need, though..if you’re thinking through the minds of the Triumvirate, you might be going Larry English. I don’t think Sintim would be our pick unless circumstances dictate he is the best player available at 44..and we can’t underestimate the desire for this front office to build the most dominant front seven in the league.

So I’d say best CB available of those three first, then English, then Nicks, then Britt. English may be interchangeable with Butler and Smith though. That remains to be seen. If Vontae Davis is there..snag him.

Harvin, Britt, and Nicks are all more likely picks than DHB. Now I saw that Harvin is already gone.

I think a lot depends on which players were taken between picks 21 and 24 (those aren’t posted yet on POD). If Vontae Davis or Darius Butler are still there, I think one of them might be the pick. But between strictly English or DHB, I’d bet English is more likely. DHB just isn’t the kind of WR we need right now. Nicks or Britt would be a better fit.

It’s got a poll that has nearly 1000 votes in less than a day and is a rather comprehensive list of players included who might be available at pick 25. As of the time of this posting, Vontae Davis has 19% and Darius Butler, Sean Smith, and Hakeem Nicks all have 13%. DHB only has 4% – which says a lot.
