What's this? Satele possible for trade, and who's Jabari Greer?
Did anyone catch on that last part in the Sun Sentinal arcticle concerning the Jake Grove signing? Here's what I'm talking about:
"It's also possible the Dolphins could find a trade partner for Satele, who has two years and $1.01 million left on the contract he signed in 2007."
Really? Do we have another center in the pipeline or on the pratice team that can backup Grove?
And who is Jabari Greer? According to the Herald, we're interested in him for CB. Here are the links for both articles:

Greer
I think Greer would be a good addition. he wouldn’t be as expensive as Bodden or McFadden, but would definitely improve our secondary.
I’m hopeful we get him.

Unless the Fins can get a 3rd round pick or better....
….no need to trade Satele. He’s a valuable backup.
As far as Greer, he’s a former Bills corner who is young and promising. He’s one of the corners we talked about earlier this offseason as possible targets.
completely agree with you here bud!
Satele has taken some knocks for not being dominant, but he is definitely solid, and has not had an ideal learning situation to develop under. I think he will continue to improve, and may really surprise at guard.
trade the guys that have reached their full potential and you know what they are.

Isn't Greer coming off an injury...
Wasn’t sure, but thought it was semi-serious??
Does anyone know the status of Al Johnson??… Is he in the plans for 09?
I like him and thought he was another solid addition last year.

Satele is trade bait. IMO i say we keep him until August, see how are guards are doing coming back from injury and hope some team will overpay because of injuries of there own. Another 2nd rd pick next yr would be great.
def wont be surprised if Satele starts over Grove. talk about playin with a chip on your shoulder. how bad would it look on the part this front office if Satele out plays this guy. I think we almost have to trade satele…for no less then a 2nd rounder.
Just think how bad
it will be if he goes somewhere else and not only starts but stars! He’s still only 24 afterall!

unless we get an offer that blows us out of the water, we will keep him for quality depth

Baltimore
Anyone know if Birk ended up signing in Baltimore?
If not, I’ve gotta assume they may be the team most interested in Satele.

totally agree.........
just because he’s not going to start center doesn’t mean he’s expendable now. Let him play at guard and be used for depth.

my take
I think it would be a mistake to trade Satele, unless we get a 3rd round pick or better. He’s going to be a good, versatile backup at Center and Guard, plus he’s only on the books for a combined $1 million for two more years. That’s productivity and depth at a good price. Can’t beat it.
I think our first three picks…. I think LB Matthews falls to us at #25, and we use our second round picks on a WR, in addition to a nose tackle…
If WR comes before NT or CB, I will shit myself
