Denver says they will trade Cutler
per PFT -
Denver Broncos owner pat bowlen has said - since they can not speak to jay cutler, (they've tried for the last 10 days), that they will wimp out (err bend over) agree to Jay Cutler's demand to be traded.
They are listening to offers as we type....
so I know this is covered ground, but now that it's official and Cutler is going to be traded (likely before the draft), how do you feel about this? should miami enter the bidding?

guess you should read this
To anyone who thinks that the Broncos’ announcement that quarterback Jay Cutler will be traded is an early April Fool’s Day gag, think again.
In addition to posting a statement from owner Pat Bowlen on the team’s web site, a reader points out that the franchise has removed Cutler from the online roster.
He also has been scrubbed from the online depth chart, which currently shows no starting quarterback despite expressly being dated as of December 22, 2008.
Taken from PFT….
guess denver is serious

The Bills
are the team to worry about. Imagine picking up TO and a QB who can get him the ball.

not likely since they
passed on cutler when he was a rookie and passed on denvers offer to trade up, so they could take dante wittner about 8 spots early.

wow
way to throw your star qb under the bus like that…

Easy with the attitude jack@z
W NY Fins Fan is making a fair point, there is not one team in the league besides the ones that have a proven franchise qb who arent going to give this any thought.

that is too much
Henne as of now is equal to a 1st rounder and Penny the least to a low 2nd and you would even be giving away this years 1st

1st rounder??
I hope he is great and I have confidence in the FO’s opinion of the guy but the fact remains that Chad Henne is totally unproven………he isn’t worth a 1st rounder to other teams I’m sure……..
Just one man's opinion.
The defending AFC Champions Miami Dolphins chose Marino with the 27th pick in the NFL draft.....
Founding member of the 2nd round draft of NT Ron Brace, 6'3", 330, benchx225:32 bandwagon
Founding member of the 3rd round draft of OG Herman Johnson, 6'7", 350, 36.5" arms bandwagon

you are right, I dont know what I was thinking,
i have always been one of the guys here that think we are too over hyped with Henne, like you say, he is nothing more than an unproven rookie.

And Cutler is the
most talented QB drafted, since Peyton Manning. When you have a chance at a guy like that, you have to take a look :>)

It would be foolish not to inquire
about what it would take to get Cutler, a proven 25-year old pro bowl QB. His overall record as a starter is 17-20. But the stat within that stat that impressed me was, when the broncos defense held an opponent under 21 points, cutler’s record was 13-1.

Would it truly be foolish
considering how this regime does not like to trade draft picks? I’m Parcells and Ireland already know whether or not they are going to be willing to come close to Denver’s asking price even before knowing what Denver’s price is. They are most definitely going to ask for AT LEAST a 1st round pick, maybe 2, and considering their track record and nigh superhuman drafting abilities, I don’t see this FO trading a 1st rounder ever.
