Please send out your prayers.
As of 6:30 EST, the Coast Guard has supended their search for Corey Smith, Marquis Cooper, and Nick Schuyler. This is something no one wants to see happen. It's a true tragedy and its horrible to see people that are so young with such promising lives ahead of them, have their lives ended shortly.
While none of them have been found dead, the likelihood of them being alive is quite slim. Hopefully this horrible situation will turn into a miracle but when/if that miracle happens I would just like everyone to offer their prayers and condolences to the family, friends, and anyone who is suffering through this ordeal.
While I have never focused on any of the players, I give them accolades for all of their hard work and accomplishments and for providing the world with the oppurtunity to watch them week in and week out, doing something they enjoy.
God bless

I try put myself in the shoes of anyone who has gone through something like that
survivors and those who have passed.
It’s really the only way to fully comprehend any tragedy.
I hope they find these guys alive.

Nice thoughts CB,
I’ll add my prayers. And also thoughts and prayers to the Coast Guard for the job they had to do. When you read how many ships/aircraft were used and how much area they covered, they did a great job.

Thoughts and prayers are with their families.
Miracles happen – maybe their families will get to experience one.
Great post, cb!
Nice thoughts.
By day I am a Rescue Swimmer in the Navy. I will be honest the search was very extensive and actually lasted longer than normal. It is very unfortunate that this tragedy happened and I pass my condolences to all of the friends and family.
thats kinda what i had thought
still, hope lives thru prayers, … so i’ll keep sending them
"Come to the edge." "We can't. We're afraid." "Come to the edge." "We can't. We will fall!" "Come to the edge." And they came. And he pushed them. And they flew. ~Guillaume Apollinaire~
I heard on ESPN radio
That “a source with the Coast Guard” had told the reporter (big name guy…just can’t remember who) that Schuyler (hope I spelled his name right) had stated that each of the other three had, one at a time, decided to swim for it, removed their life vests and took off.
Not a promising situation if they really did decide to take off their life vests. But, I guess that’s why the Coast Guard was saying that finding the cooler and life vest 16 miles from the boat “matched their information.”
Praying for them and their families, but unfortunately, it isn’t looking good.
Safety side note – if you ever are in the same situation…ALWAYS stay with the boat! Much, much easier to spot and upside down boat than a single person in the water. Plus, you can cling to the boat instead of having to exert energy and swim.
