other players on the trade block
OK - I know mando's opinions usually aren't popular around these parts but his team info is usually pretty accurate - especially when he's quoting team sources and reasons....
But Mando says the following players are on the trade block if the price is right.
Wilford: (bueller, beuller)
Beck: (anyone)
and Jason Allen (????)
any surprises?
wow - i know these guys feel that you should build a team from the inside out, but does that mean you should play without and OUT?

J. Allen
if they think he isn’t coachable send him somewhere for a 3rd/4th shrugs
You can Roth to that list I am afraid and Roth very well could garner a 3rd rounder
25th pick - Clay Mathews LB USC
44th pick - Alphonso Smith cb Wake Forest
56th pick - Clint Sintim LB Virginia
86th pick - Fili Moala DT USC

no way allen
brings a 3rd rounder …. my guess is they’d be lucky to get a late 4th but the market would be a 5th.
don’t see them tradign roth. the guy was their best LB at the end of the year. go back to the playoff game. they ran at porter the whole game. they wanted nothing to do with roths side… now that said i was pretty disappointed that the guy couldn’t get a better push when they use him to rush the passer, but the guy is big and cheap something these guys like.
my guess is he gets a new contract before the season start.

we will see I didn't suggest trading Roth
or I would. I like Roth versatal and plays run well BUT he is a possablity. Allen shrugs who the hell knows what they’ll get for him I would be happy with a 4th

No kidding, I agree
Satele was, if nothing else, a competent starting center. So for Allen, at best a 3rd or 4th corner, I’d imagine a 6th rounder would be as good as it gets.

hence
i can’t see how they could even consider offers.
he’s cheap – he has played well at times (see denver vs marshall and buffalo vs evans)
so i’m not sure if this is just a message leak or they are seriously going to entertain offers…
the sampson thing has me dumbfounded.

I don't see us making any more trades
Unless it is a great offer. What would trading away anyone do for us? Get us a draft pick and a hole to fill. Why trade away Beck only to have to find another QB? Why trade away Roth if we already have a LB need?

kind of agree
I don’t see Roth traded unless there is a great deal out there. the guy plays great and he works cheap – what could they gain….
but he is in the last year of his deal….
and the phins have 12 starters (or at least significant contributers) contracts coming due at the end of the season… if they can get something for those guys now – i can see the team moving people…
plus – they’ll move beck on draft day… teh QB class is too weak this year not to get the value they want for him.

Teddy Ginn
I think the FO will not draft a WR in the first three rounds unless they trade Teddy for a 2nd round pick. Maybe some team will make us an offer. I mean CLeveland and Cincy are probably willing to take him escpecially since he is a Buckeye hero, or Denver since Brandon Marshall may get suspended and opposite Eddie Royal maybe a good tandem, or even the Bears who their best receiver is a converted CB. But hey who knows right. I say put Teddy on the block. See what offers we get.

Sure
I have no problem with them trading any of the guys you mentioned in your post. If they can get anything in return, then go for it. Once you know a guy isn’t a fit for your team, cut your losses and get what you can.
I am starting to like the idea of trading back more. If we could move back to later in the first or early in the second and pick up an additional selection or two, I think that would be great value. From mock draft to mock draft, I see a lot of variability in where guys are being selected and think the best value will be in the second round.
