Percy Harvin working out for Miami.
At his Pro Day, Harvin also said he has private workouts scheduled with the Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets. Harvin’s versatility and speed are drawing interest from multiple teams.

How sweet would it be if the Dolphins draft Harvin. I am a UCF Knight so I have no UF ties but that would be friggin awesome.

If niether of the 3 USC LBers
or Maybin are available at 25 and Harvin is make a trade with the giants moving down to the 29th spot and pick up another 4th rounder :)
25th pick - Clay Mathews LB USC
44th pick - Alphonso Smith cb Wake Forest
56th pick - Clint Sintim LB Virginia
86th pick - Fili Moala DT USC

I'd take Harvin over Maybin
Maybin has high bust potential. 1 year starter, concerns about speed-weight ratio (only fast when he’s too small for the 3-4), big questions on whether or not he can switch to the LB position etc..
It all depends on who’s available, and what we’re looking for specifically in the first round whether we take Harvin or not. But would I be disappointed? No way. If we’re looking to take a CB in round 1, and we think our guy will be there a few picks later, cool, trade down a few spots. I’ll never be mad at getting more picks. But I think if Harvin is high on our board, we shouldn’t pass on him for a lesser player at a different position.

If he is a targeted guy
and the best of what they can get I agree, I just feel that WR isn’t a priority(for the FO) in round 1. With the Giants desire for a WR, their FA signings on the front 7, and with the Colts, Ravens, and Eagles between us and them I see a grand opportunity to rape them to move down a mere 3 spots. Now if WR is a highly targeted area for Tuna and co and Harvin(or any other WR they covet is there) by all means take him. I just do not in any shape or form believe that WR is a first round option for them and all the talk of miami’s need at WR makes the perfect smokescreen and “setup” to trade down a bit> shrugs

I don't disagree with you there
I would prefer to address the needs at CB and LB with our first 2 picks, and look for Robiskie to drop to 56. But who knows? I still can’t decide what to really make of the “we need more firepower” line Parcells dropped at the Senior Bowl (I believe?). Could be the classic Parcells smokescreen, or he could be completely serious.
I really like the fact that us, fans who use up all of our free time, and some of our not-so-free time following the team, guys like Rzayo, who set his dentist visits up so he can update us on how often Sparano scratches his balls during practice, or Matty, who calls players up randomly just to chat deep into the night, none of us know a damn thing about who Parcells Inc wants in the draft lol. Draft day is gonna roll around, pick 25 will be on the clock, there will 17 different names flying around the Live Thread, and all of us will be shocked by the pick lol. And shocked in a “WOW GREAT PICK!!” kinda way, not the “… Ted Ginn??” way..

No way would i do that trade...
First of all, he is a first round talent. Second, he fills a need for a WR, and a playmaker. Third, he has great speed, hands, and runs great routes, fourth, a move up for the Giants is worth more than an extra fourth. At least an extra third IMO. If they draft Harvin, which i wouldn’t mind, i don’t think they would trade him. Think of the wildcat, and all the plays they couls run with him, Ronnie, Ted Ginn Jr, and Cobbs, not to mention Ricky, and Chad P. Our offense would be sick!!!!
But i’m still holding out hope that they take Robiskie in the 2nd!!!!! I have a feeling that he is going to find himself being drafted in the first round. I hope i’m wrong, but you never know.
Now is the time- the time to rise up from the depths of Hell and stake our claim back on top of the AFC East...Look out Gaytriots here comes Jake Long and the Phins

the most you can get
in the trade a 3rd I would do it IF the guys you targeted are gone or there is a couple guys you can live with as your first round selection
25th pick - Clay Mathews LB USC
44th pick - Alphonso Smith cb Wake Forest
56th pick - Clint Sintim LB Virginia
86th pick - Fili Moala DT USC

UUUUUUUUUUUU CCCCCCCCCCC FFFFFFFFF
Lol, sorry, I couldn’t miss the opportunity, GO KNIGHTS!
I think Harvin is one of the few flashy picks in the first round. If he falls to us, I am not sure what I would want. I like how it was put above but it is kind of what I said about Saban (In Saban I Trust).
Let this season BE GINN!

I think it all depends on if wide outs start flying off the board like hot cakes
I would not mind at all to have Harvin why because he is a playmaker I do not want any Tedd Ginn comparisons at all they are nothing alike, but also some good news is that Hakeem Knicks I heard had a bad pro day so he may slip.I said it before and I’ll say it again combine and pro-days dont mean squat to me it’s what they do on the field that counts I can name a shitload of players who had a good combine and pro day workouts and come into the league and do jack.

WR has to be a top priority in the first round
If i were to pick btwn Nicks and Harvin, i would have to pick Nicks b/c he complements Ginn nicely. But Harvin is amazing and he could do everything in our offense (think wildcat people) Both are special and either one will bring more to the team than a linebacker
