If it guaranteed you a $250M contract, would you take performance-enhancing drugs?

This is what a poll by ESPN asks in tonight´s edition.  I for one, know I wouldn´t do it because of my love for sports and physical integrity, not to say letting down the young people that see me as a role model, but that is ME. Its easy for me to say because well, my love for sports is an important part of my life and thank to God and my parents I have always been able to have more money than I could spend. Even though the beginning of the post suggest Im saying "me good he bad" that is not what I really want to stress. I guess that this discussion goes much much farther than just sports and I dont throw the "just sports" phrase very often. For me, this question is asking us ´do you choose with your head or do you choose with your heart´ and basically what I want to get through is just the hypocrisy of todays people (dont like word "society"). People being outraged and throwing around of kind of bs like "these are the guys my boys look up to". What I am going to ask is ´How is this any different from walking next to a homeless guy and giving him a buck instead of inviting him to mcdonalds and make him feel like someone is interested in his life?" "How is this any different than the classic soccer mom fundraising for teenage criminals rehabilitation programs instead of talking the time to know one of those guys and realize that they aren´t gang members because they are brown but because their parents never showed up to one of their football games, and worse". I dont wanna go all Dr.Phil on you guys or anything but just wanted to express how this kind of thing makes me question the whole good/bad crap we see in todays world.

By the way, interestingly enough, the results of the poll were

YES 63%

NO 37%

PS- I also wanted to thank for giving me the honor of being nominated to the Channing Crowder Lost in Translation Award, it has really been a blast from day one.
