Laveranues Coles Released..
This from rotoworld.com:
Jets released WR Laveranues Coles.
Coles' $6 million is guaranteed, however, and the Jets are open to bringing him back. Coles also sees open to it. "We didn't leave on bad terms," he said. "It's not out of the question that I could come back." Still, Coles wants a contract extension and the Jets are hesitant to appease him at age 30 with declining long speed. If no reunion is worked out, Coles still becomes arguably the No. 2 receiver on the market, behind only T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
I find this interesting because although they did say that he could return to the Jets, wasn't he one of the guys in the off-season who was open about how much he enjoys playing with Chad(pennington)? Would you want him if he came at the right price?

No
he’s a future version of Ted Ginn. Do we need 2 Ted Ginn’s? We need a BIG receiver, not a little speed demon. We have little speed demons.

take him
if we can get a good deal worked out, sign him.
1) he has chemistry with CP10
2) karma would be on our side (like when we got CP10)
3) he would be motivated to help us wreck the jets
4) he does well against NE
yeah he’s not huge, but he is better than our current WRs (until they develop).

The truth is this
Chad is so accurate that for a receiver all they have to do is simply get open….To have a receiver like coles come to miami for a cheap price wont be that bad of a idea….

i'd love to see someone like Coles in a phins uniform
With Camarillo, Bess, and Ginn developing, someone like coles would really help i think.
