Shaun Rogers wants out of Cleveland

Wasn't Parcells after this guy or atleast rumored to be interested bigtime before he was traded away by Detriot? keep a close on on this guy fellas... if he does get his wish by the Browns and is let go (for cap reasons) or on the trade block could be a darkhorse.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that All-Pro NT Shaun Rogers has grown so "disenchanted" with the new Browns regime that he's asked the team to not exercise his $6 million March option bonus.
The Browns deny Rogers demanded his release, but failing to pick up the bonus would make him a free agent. It would also cause Cleveland a $9.8 million cap hit. Eric Mangini has reportedly reached out to Rogers in hopes of changing his mind. The coach did the same in New York with Laveranues Coles, but clearly the Mangini-Kokonis era has gotten off to a rotten start.

Yeah I heard this last night

He is a proven NT but are we willing to trade our picks Bill showed intrest in him last year but did not want to give up the picks also if we sign Brown would we be able to pick up Rodgers contract this could put us way over.

not interested in Big Time players who will want Big Time contracts. We already spent a load of cash in Vernon and now its looking like we are going to do the same with J.Brown. We cant start throwing that money around in our 2nd rebuilding off-season. We have to get ourselves a new Langford and a new Merling not a new Holliday or Ferguson.

I mean….he was there ONE year! He hasn’t even given his new Coach or philosophy a try. I bet Cleveland keeps him and says “too bad, you’re here, deal with it” too him.

Too dang funny

Rogers’ nose is out of its normal joint in part because of two perceived incidents of disrespect involving the new coach. First, Mangini allegedly entered the team’s training room and failed to greet Rogers. (Maybe they should adopt a "kiss hello" program to avoid such issues.) Then, at a charity event for which both were in the "green room," Mangini didn’t speak to Rogers.

seriously is there anyone who really thinks this guy is worth it?
