Who will Parcells sign first in FA?

The Tuna always signs someone at the start of FA. Last yr he had Smiley signed at 12:01am. Who do you think he will have signed at the stroke of Midnight this yr? My guess is........

Justin Leonhard SS for the Baltimore Ravens.

This guy was all over the field last yr and I think we will let Bell walk if they don't come to an agreement by the start of FA. I like Bell but I think this kid Leonhard is about to make his mark. He is a good defender, great tackler in the open field and he returns punts, which means if he gets a pick he could take it to the house. I could see the Pats trying to get this kid too, if they out bid us for him then we go back to Bell.

Whos your choice and why?

I like him

but I don’t think he’ll be AS good as he was in Baltimore with Ed Reed covering the entire world behind him. Also, if we let Bell walk, I don’t think we’ll be getting him back. Somebody else will jump on, because he’s probably the top SS in the FA class.

I think the first guy we make a serious run at will be Jason Brown. If we can throw out an offer he likes and tempt him to visit, maybe we can avoid the super-bidding war that might ensue if he stays on the market for a few days.

I don't think it'll be leonhard...

…he’ll go to the Jets and his former DC Rex Ryan – and will benefit from playing next to Kerry Rhodes (like he did playing next to Ed Reed). He really isn’t all that good – he just looks better because he has talent around him.

The thing I liked about him was

he always made the tackle. When we had someone catch the ball in the flat and had to beat one guy to get in the open…….he came up and made the tackle. When it looked like we were going to break a play he comes out of nowhere and makes the play. I agree he had talent around him but he always made the play. I like that…….I didn’t see many Balt games but I did see them in the playoffs and he was the guy who noone talked about but he was awesome in pass coverage and tackling in space. He would be a great replacement for Bell. I think this kid is ready to take the next step and be a top 10 ss in this league.

What can Brown do for you?

Fix the run game, that’s what.

I agree

Brown would be a big time signing but I think that will come later in FA. Putting him in the middle of our line, scary……..

I just heard on WQAM

that Taligubue(?) former commisioner is going to join the front office, Anyone have info on this? I hope it doesn’t piss off Parcells

it shouldn't.......

its all on the business end……Tag is a smart man, and I think would only help, not hurt us in that dept. In a way, I like that Ross is smart enough to admit that he doesn’t know everything just yet and is hiring the help he needs to make this organization top shelf.

Good Article. I have to

agree, Bill only let’s out what he wants out like his contract language, That’s why when he says this team needs more firepower, I beleive we will have more firepower on offense. Can’t wait to see what he does to upgrade that side of the ball.
