From day one I've been involved with him, he's worked hard and gotten better and better. He's really learned how to be a solid pro. He made some of the big plays this year you want some of those first line receivers to make. He's getting better and better that way.

And reading between the lines?
Ginn’s getting better & better so that when Henne’s comes in he’ll be our very legit, very dangerous, very deep threat.
Thanks Matty, throwing out quotes like the above makes me think, I actually do know something.

lol
another quote from Sparano on NFLN.
“I don’t want the guys to see me tear up, they might think there’s something soft going on, and I’m not having that.” I love this man lol.
And I agree with you Husk, this needs to be Ginn’s breakout. Even if he doesn’t explode, he needs to continue getting better in every aspect of the game. As long as he keeps showing progress, I’ll be happy.

Agreed. Its time for him to step-up AND...
…for the Dolphins to give him every chance to produce big numbers. I don’t buy into this thought by some that Pennington’s lack of arm strength hurts his numbers. If you HAVE to have a QB that can throw the ball 70 yds down the field to be able to get open, you’re not a #1 WR.

I agree
but I don’t think he’s a number 1 guy with any QB throwing it to him. I think his ceiling is a very good number 2. He seems like a guy that will absolutely thrive with another weapon across from him, because he can torch one-on-one coverage. He gets in trouble when the CB can jam and trail him because he has safety help on top. I think if we have another guy opposite him that the defense has to roll coverage to, Ginn would benefit from the clean release and the threat of just flat out running by someone.
Maybe I’m just making excuses, but I think he can be an incredible weapon, as long as he isn’t the ONLY weapon.

I think
this could be Ginns year,if we continue to build up our line and if we draft a guy like Bey,Knicks,or Britt and Bess playing well this will give Ginn some extra support.Guys like Cam and Bess are good but we need that big guy to distract the corner and safties.

This year Ginn impressed me BIG TIME...
it started slow…and 99% of me lost faith…but then Buffalo exploded outta nowhere….and he was solid the rest of the way. He gave us multiple instant TD plays….plays a handfull of players coulda made…that KC reverse was a thing of beauty…..he made some dazzlin moves.
Ginn doesnt HAVE TO do anything if u look at it the right way. He was taken 9th yes…but whats that really mean? Is that REALLY all that diffrent from us taking him 19th when u look back? NFL young players contracts arent like basketball players…the risk is more losing a great pick…not the money part. If you just take Ginn and pretend we signed him as a free agent…..i think ud be REALLY happy. He is a major threat….and is getting better. He works hard…his attitude is 100% “eye on the prize”….He had allot of pressure on him with us all hating him and boo’in his selection….hes the kinda guy that effects….Buffalo i said Ted Ginn Jr. was born…..and im sticking to it. Ted Ginn Jr. is gonna add muscle and game experiance that are gonna make him a top WR.
Dont forget….he gets ALL the attention. If we got anyone….anyone at all…that made the defense take their attention off him more….i GUARANTEE you see allot of those 70 yard TD strikes

Teddy needs to have a 1,000 yard season
a few more TDs.
Then he’ll be solid.

I have to agree with Rzayo
We get another legit starting WR, it will open up his game. I hope CP10 is working hard in the weight room this off season (SHOULDERS) so he can get the ball deep down field.
Remember……….Ted Ginn=Ohioian !!!!!! GO BUCKS !!!! GO FINS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just think my thinking is...
dont shit on a guy just cuz he is playing like a low 1st rd pick…and not a high one. He is a playmaker…hes on our team now….when the time comes to try to resign him then we can decide what hes worth to us…till then he is pretty good and the best we got…im rollin with Houdini!!!!

I think we will see
The real Ted Ginn when Henne gets in the game. He will put up good number with Pennington but with Henne, IMO, he will be tougher to defend. The two yrs with Pennington is going to really help his game because he is learning how to study his defenders, run precise routes and make the tough catch on slant patterns. Once his QB can throw it 60 yds down field he will have a big yr.

Ginn is a deep ball guy... he has deep speed but not lateral quickness.
he just does not have the quickness or toughness to take a short slant and turn it into a big gain (boldin, smith, etc.). until we get a QB that can chuck it down the field OR establish the running game well enough to catch the safeties cheating up, Ginn will be a possession guy only.
IMO

Ginn needs to stay on his feet
During the two weeks between the championship games and the superbowl, I either saw an interview or read an article about Larry Fitzgerald and Todd Haley (former OC for the Cardinals). Haley said that last summer he and Fitz reviewed every catch that Fitz made the year before. After watching the tape, they both figured that Fitz left 500 yards on the field because after the catch he either ran out of bounds or hit the ground to avoid hits.
I don’t think Ginn could have gotten 500 more receiving yards, but there were definately times that he could have gotten extra yards if he stayed on his feet. Hopefully he goes through that process this summer.

i think that is a reasonable assessment
