Ginn-Credible

You can love him, hate him, or be in between but Ted Ginn is are most explosive player we have on offense and have to find more creative ways to get him the ball.

Star-divide

If you remember the colts game ted was catching everything that went his way until that game winning drop, and then all the critics showed there faces and i believe his confidence was shot badly, because the Ted Ginn im seeing this year isnt looking close to what he was last year. Last year Ginns hands were exceptional and he was making some nice as well as clutch catches. regaurdless of what you feel about him the truth is he can make plays when the ball is in his hands.

and with a struggling offense we sure arent taking enough shots downfield henne has a big arm it shouldnt even be a question.

sidenote: dont know whats going on  but camarillos presence is starting to become invisible and hes been fading game by game.

yeah he is but he is also the most unreliablle player ont his team to

i mean give him an endround… out of bounds 3 yards. throw to him dropped, and if caught- out of bounds. he just is unreliable and i really im scared that one day wen throw to him and he ends up somehow losing the game for us. One good thing for Ted Ginn is he hasn’t fumbled so good job for that. He also leads the NFL in return yards.

ginn is a bit of a sissy, he runs out of bounds, nd he basically has no confidence

i dont think he is an explosive player just because of his speed. he is slow in and out of his cuts, and runs away from contact.

by finzrule on Dec 4, 2009 10:47 PM EST reply actions

We can keep making up excuses for him...

but the bottom line is that he needs to perform on every Sunday. Every player has upside, but its those that display it on game day that excel in the league. He’s got speed—- so he should probably use it. He’s got hands—- so he shoul probably use those as well.

He’s in the NFL… if that doesnt raise your confidence then i dont know what will. He’s officially one of the best in the country for making it this far, so he’s gotta step up and play.

OMG what are you smoking?

Ted Ginn is a total ass hat. He is a waste of $$ and needs to be traded away the 1st chance the team has to dump this dipshit.

i really don't know what games you were watching last year.

to say that ginns hands were exceptional last year is nothing more than a cruel joke. the time for him to show he can play is slowly expiring.

Thecable guy and MainPhinFan

are you guys idiots.. do you remeber that catch against the seahawks or the 4th down catch against the raiders or better yet his catches in the jets game last year ginn was on point you guys must be on something bunch of f#@$%n idiots

by Deuce Black on Dec 5, 2009 5:19 PM EST up reply actions

So the 5 or 6 catches that were good make up for the ones he misses over and over?

Ginn sucks. He has sucked since he was drafted. I gave him 2 years.. and I supported him up untill he proved he is a total loss this season. If you cannot see this you seriously need some new goggles.

yeah

we’re idiots. the guy had less than 800 yards in 16 games. that’s LESS than 50 yards per game. that’s some great fucking hands. bess matched that in 8 games.you cited 3 catches in 16 games. you proved our point with your completely asinine comments.

by TheCableguy on Dec 5, 2009 5:36 PM EST reply actions

thecablemoron

what in the world does yards have to do with great hands you moron and speaking of yards that would mean he had exactly 50 yards a game not less dumba#@ 50 × 16 = 800. and i just cited some examples of exceptional hands i wasnt going to list every freakincatch he made last year u duck

look man

we’re just talking football. no need for your attitude. it’s real easy to be a big man when your sitting safely behind a computer. if you knew how to read you would see that i said he had less than 50 a game, not exactly.

by TheCableguy on Dec 5, 2009 9:00 PM EST up reply actions

thats what i said

you said he had less… i did the math and he averaged exactly 50 not less and for the big guy comment i back down to nobody so its whatever but im done with this argument we all dolphins fans so im leave it at that

I have some creative ideas for getting the ball in his hands:

hand him the ball in the locker room
let him dry off the ball on the sidelines on rainy days
send him to Walmart to buy a ball
let him throw out the first pitch at a Marlins game (oops, wrong ball)

I know we all want to have a scapegoat for our losses but there is one factor that i dont think anyone recognizes in Ted Ginn's failure. The loss of CP10

If this was supposed to be his breakout year. (3rd year rule for WR). And we have established that he was at least not horrible last year: played like a receiver with actual hands. CP10 was only here for 2 full games and if we don’t count the atlanta one (every dolphin played horribly on that game) Ted Ginn Jr. under CP10 had a game with 118 yards which is pretty great for a WR. We want to blame him for the 2 extremely important dropped passes but that colts game was a meltdown by our defense. A player that gets 118 is usually a difference maker. We should have never been put in that situation had our defense played better but I digress.
We lose CP10 for the season we put TGJR in a situation with a new qb a 2nd year qb never having an nfl start in place of a veteran and we expect him to make plays, understandable we are fans but…
Chad Henne is no Chad Pennington we are lucky he isn’t a mark sanchez (losing games for us) but he is far from perfect (It’s his first season starting). When i saw Chad Pennington in the pocket it was a wonder he was an incredible QB i knew he was going to convert that 3rd down and seldom did i think that he couldn’t do something. Chad henne lacks that, he may have a bigger arm but he is nowhere near as good or consistent as Chad Pennington.
I have an example to put it into another light Calvin Johnson. He is going to be an amazing WR but as of right now he is with a rookie QB. He had one huge game against the Browns, and he has 41 rec for 607 yds not bad at all but not exceptional. He is stuck with a rookie Matthew Stafford until Matthew becomes better Calvin won’t be able to have incredible games.
And yes that is what i’m saying it’s not Ted Ginn nor his families fault but the bad QB play of Chad Henne.
I think Chad Henne is our qb of the future and he will be great. But that game yesterday with the bills and our other games have taught me that he isn’t great right now. He is a 2nd year qb he rarely has 200 yd games his td/int ratio isn’t great his completions aren’t amazing he overthrows recievers he is a qb with an incredible running game that he could rely on taking the pressure off of him he doesn’t lose games for us which is a miracle (mark sanchez hate that guy) but by no means is Chad Henne spectacular.

I think we should keep Ted Ginn for 1 more season let him flourish with Chad Henne let him return kicks and i think next year he will be good.

OMG and I bet you were one of the guys saying Ginn was not doing well because CP10 couldnt throw the deep ball to ginn right?

OMG..

OMG.. “Ginn isnt doing well because we need a QB who can hit him deep and use him like he is suposed to be used”

They stopped using Ginn as a returner because he kept dropping the damn kickoffs and punts !! He SUCKS dude. Get over it.

Why don't you guys incorporate him more into the WildCat?

Or the PatCat?

I know you guys sometime set Henne out wide on a reverse in that formation, but why not put Ginn in that position? He has utility, just not as a big receiver.
