Since the Pro Bowl is a week before the Super Bowl players on Super Bowl teams will not be playing, opening the way for other players to squeak in. So it is interesting to see who gets thrown in, it will be like having another Pro Bowl vote after the championship games. I know they choose alternates and alternates for alternates, but say the Colts go to the SB. Freeny and Mathis both don't play the alternates fill and Starks could be named... I don't know just a thought.
Also based on the Sun-Sentinel's report on Dolphins Pro Bowlers, Dan Marino made it 9 times, but only played in two, 1984 and 1992. Does anyone remember if it was injury or just the decision not to fly to Hawaii and play in a almost pointless game? I unfortunately was too young to remember these times.
