Running around Zebras
Hey guys. This is my first post in years, but yesterday's game was a painful one. There's so much to say, I don't know where to begin.
First off, I'd like to shake my head at the start to the game. Poor play all around, but from the safeties especially. I think Chris Clemons needs to start at FS, and let Wilson Go. Bell is NOT good in any coverage past 10 yards, and Wilson just blows. Our CB's will be fine.
Next, you have to commend the team on the comeback attempt. I really thought they had it, but the momentum was crushed by outright HORRIBLE officiating. First, I haven't seen anything on the Chris Brown fumble/incomplete pass. Are you kidding me? Incomplete? It wasn't even close? He took like 6 steps! He ran like 4 yards! How do you make that call? Speed of the game can't even be claimed, that's how bad it was! And in that situation? C'mon. C'mon. That zebra that made the call on the field should be FIRED. Flat out.
So Miami loses about 30 yards, but that doesn't stop them either. They hit the deep ball to Ginn. "that's nice to see" I say to myself as Ginn marches back to the sideline. A good time to score for this much maligned WR. Then you see the flag. How many TD's has Ginn had called back in his career? And the call was pathetic. Polite had already made the block when his foot touched the defender's. He was already going down. It has no impact on the play, and was a tick-tack call. Horrible call in a big spot. After that, the momentum slowed, but Miami kept fighting back.
So, in the end I commend them for fighting all 11 Texans, and all 7 Zebras.
To all the haters out there, remember that this team is still exceeding expectations, and is getting closer. I'm convinced Henne is the answer. The talent level still needs upgrading, in positions I don't need to mention. The trifecta have us on the right path. As much as this one hurts, believe.

Actually, that was classic Hoodie, and I loved that call.
What I don’t love is calling the same plays in the same order every game. I don’t love stopping a running game that is gaining yards in the second half. I don’t love the lack of involvement by the tight-ends in general. It’s been getting better, but it is a long way from McDaniels.

I agree 100% with the negated fumble recovery
It was a horrible call. I have to disagree a bit on the tripping penalty though. Mind you, I’ve only seen 1 replay of it as I kinda got screwed out of getting to watch the game (but that’s another story), but I finally DID get to see it. While I agree it had no bearing on the outcome of the play, he DID stick his leg out as he was falling. No doubt about it, that’s a penalty. I know it’s frustrating when a penalty is called that didn’t really impact the way the play turns out, but it was still an infraction. After all, I don’t think Polite said to himself “I think I’ll throw my leg out here just to try to trip this guy, even though we’re about to score a TD” —he did it in an all out effort to keep the opponent from getting to Henne-and that’s a penalty. I see it called all the time, even when it doesn’t affect a play, just like a clipping penalty on a punt/kickoff return that’s way on the other side of the field as the returner is running past everyone—no real impact on the play, but still a penalty.

Agreed, if Lousaka Monster would have just put his hat on the guy....
We’d be talking about how great of a TD pass and catch that was…Either way he tripped him and tripping is a penalty. All he had to do was put his body into the block and everything would have been fine….As for the incomplete pass / Fumble, that was incredible and a real shame to any intelligent being on this planet…

And no one here thinks as I do..
A few refs had money on the Phins not making it to the playoffs.. or a winning record.. or SOMETHING.
And to those who think that kind of thing doesnt happen in the NFL? Ya right.
Henne is now our leader. Lets see what the guy can do !
As usual the R&R Xpres is non stop to its next destination !
Driver of the Camarillo, Hartline & Bess fan club bus.. hop on and enjoy the ride!
We need this pass D to STEP THE F UP and do what they get paid to do!
No, I don't think as you do,
Not saying no refs had money on or against the Dolphins—I’m saying the refs didn’t cost the Phins this or any other game because of it. That would make the NFL no more than WWE with helmets and shoulder pads, and the minute I believe that, I lose interest in the sport totally. So go ahead and consider me naive, but I will still believe what I believe.
