Well, as we all know, we're pretty much out of the playoff race. Disappointing? Yes. But we did learn alot of things. We learned that we still need a few more corrections, untill we can become contenders every year. Don't get me wrong here, but next year, maybe a very good year. The rookie's will have a year under their belts, and won't make many mistakes.
I learned something in today's game. We focused on stopping Johnson, and we did very well. But I hope the FO noticed this too. We covered him, and let the other WR's get open. So hopefully, during the offseason, we trade or sign a star WR. Let me list a few I have in mind:
Alright, let's see who's in the doghouse this week.
It's late in the season, and we're out of the playoffs, most likely. So we should focus on putting the younger players in more. I noticed today, Chris Clemons was in alot. I'm guessing he took Wilson's spot and he handled himself well. He's a speedy safety, and a hard hitter, and I see him starting next year.
I forget what quarter it was in, but Sean Smith tipped a Matt Schaub pass towards Gibril. Any easy catch, even for Ted Ginn, but Gibril drops it. That could have changed the outlook of today's game. Wilson is just another FA bust, and I think he'll be a backup next year, or he's gone.
1st Half Defense
We looked like headless chickens during the first half. We couldn't tackle anyone. Moses was the only one that got a sack today. I don't know what their problem was, but they played a great 2nd half, by not allowing a TD.
Early in the game, our run stopper, Channing Crowder, was injured. He did not return and it hurt the run/pass D. Akin Ayodele is a good, but not great back, and Reggie Torbor is just a backup. I hope Channing will be alright for Sunday.
I see us taking a LB in the 1st or 2nd round. I'm not a real big college football fan, and I don't really know anyone so post a comment and see what ya think.
That's about all I can think of. Leave a comment if you'd like me to add someone to the list and a reason why they should be in the doghouse. And no "rookies".
I'm looking forward to next weeks game. I'll get to watch a Phins game finally, since I live in PA. And I hope we win, so I don't have to put up with any of these Black and Gold fans.
