This is my worst season playing football. Period, from a little guy to now.
(But what about his future in Miami?)
If I could stay here forever, I will. I want to continue to try to turn this thing around, which we are. And just keep getting better every year, every day and every practice.I love it here.

Unfortunately for Ginn...
Unless he’s ready to play for $1 mil a year until he learns how to absurd contact and catch the ball, he isn’t going to stay in Miami.
I know there are a lot of moves the front office does that we all question, but if they kept him around i’d really have to wonder the reason for it. I really can’t see them not trying to get value from him and trade him this offseason. Im sure there are some teams that need a fast no. 2 or no. 3 WR that “could” return kicks and if we got a 2nd or 3rd rounder i’d be content with that or package him in a deal for someone else.
He doesn’t put in the time or effort needed to be great in this league and because of that he never will be.
Because we wouldn't get that high a draft pick in return
And if he takes a big hometown discount, like you suggested, his value as a kick returner would be worth the money we’re giving him.
Josh Cribbs doesn’t catch that many balls, and outside of reverses/Wildcat runs/etc., he’s not even involved much else in the offense. Yet he’s completely worth every penny he’s being paid and then some.

Ginn is no Cribbs
Ted Ginn is a track star plain and simple. The guy is afraid of contact that is what his biggest problem is it’s almost like someone told him to preserve himself first and worry about longevity before making the play. Ginn needs to get out or take a major pay cut to be a KR only. You can’t play football and be afraid of getting hit to the point of not catching the ball.Cribbs will take a hit and sacrifice his body for the play that is what you need to do to be a true star in the NFL. Josh Cribbs is ted Ginn JR on roids.
Can we get Ginn som HGH?
That’s the only way I’d like to keep him. How much of a hit do we take from the cap if we cut him at year end? None for next year, right?
I don't know
The guy to ask would be Matty he knows all. The best case scenario is to trade him maybe for a saftey.

I wanna kinda agree only because
Wide outs usually have two years to get used to the game right? Well… didnt he have a really shitty QB in 2007? 2008 we had CP10 that throws softley and guess what he didn’t do all that bad. And we expected him to explode this year, but he’s gotta get used to the bullets being thrown his way, different ball comin from Henne than what it was with CP10
Leading the Kory Sperry bandwaggon!!
Dang, you're right
Ginn’s had five different QBs since 2007(He and Camarillo are the only ones from 07)
2007:
Trent Green (5 games)
Cleo Lemon (7 games)
John Beck (4 games)
2008:
Chad Pennington (17 games)
2009:
Chad Pennington (3 games)
Chad Henne (11 games)
It’s not exactly like he (or any of that WR corps) have had a lot of continuity.
May as well keep the guy
He has flashes, and if we can get a guy that reallly is a #1 WR, having Teddy can’t hurt. Plus…what are we going to do with the void left by his family’s departure?

I was on the whole “Well…he should at least be here returning all kicks” thing….after watching him return stuff lately….im not even sure hes that great at that.
I have lost all trust….100%. He needs to pul up his bog boy pants and show some balls or im ready to see him in a chiefs uniform

The blocking has been atrocios lately. He should not ne getting hit at the 15.
The only wisdom is the knowledge that you don't know
Well at least he knows his struggles
Honestly I’ll give him one more year. I have a feeling he will absolutely screw us and become a serviceable WR if he goes somewhere else.
Ok so his father
called him and basically said to him you are being a female sex organ. I don’t know what other motivation this man needs. If your Father can’t motivate you then you are helpless.
I'm glad I heard him say this!
I just want to hear he wants to give all he can!

ted ginn...
disappointment #1 for me this season. so many heated arguments defending this guy, so many expectations…
he seems like a good guy, a talented kid, just doesn’t have the balls of a football player. i think after year one we already knew inside that he wasn’t a number one.
if we can’t get some good value for him then i say we keep him. receivers with that kind of speed and talent don’t come around too often. maybe when the expectations are lower, the pressure is on others, he may thrive. could be an explosive play-maker in this offense for a long time.

I love Ginn
and I’m certain he will be around next year. You trade a talented player like that and it comes back to bite you in the ass.

We can get a 5th rounder for him.
Some team will take him to return punts and kicks and hope to turn his career around…. I bet we can convince Al Davis to take him for a 2nd rounder cause he’s soo fast! Lol

You think if Ginn played with Peyton Manning he'd still stink?
by JP 23 on Dec 25, 2009 7:17 PM EST via mobile reply actions
I think Manning's third down conversion percentage would take a hit (unlike Ginn)...
if he got in the habit of throwing to him on third down.
Do you realize how many passes he has dropped or bobbled into interceptions?
There is a reason why Chad Henne doesn’t even bother to look his way anymore…

There is a difference between stink and
Not giving 100% My opinion is ted won’t give 100% The speed and the talent is there but he refuses to take a hit or lay out for a catch. A true football player does not run from contact but makes the play then deals with the hit. Ted is plain scared of contact. This is why I will never be a fan of the guy. Firefighters risk their life for 1 quarter of what ted makes to catch a ball but can’t get it done. In my opinion it’s about heart and desire wich in year 4 ted does not have.
ginn staying in Miami he's just to talented in returning if his blockers didn't suck ass then i think we all would be comparing him to Joshua Cribbs
Chillin in the Henne ERA!!!!

Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein."
(Norman? Is he related to Albert? I guess we know who isn't a genius.)
I don;t get it
You get people saying Ginn needs time to adjust to bullets,contact,e.t.c. He has played football since age 8. He has decided he does not like to be hit. Football is a game in wich you get hit. If you are lucky enough to be one in a million and play NFL football you need to be ok with being hit and maybe even injured. Look at Hines Ward average speed average height tough as nails great route runner. This is what it takes to be a real receiver. Play to win sacrifice your body get the job done, this is not Ted Ginn. Put him with Peyton or the Cheatriots and he will flourish around their talent. I say he needs to go. He probably won’t but he will never be the real deal Camarillo and Bess are half as fast bet have twice the heart and desire wich is what make them better. Keep defending a guy who won’t give his all to the team boggles my mind . Happy Holiday’s go phins! I am gonna miss the game as I will be fishing the San Juan river in New Mexico but I hope We kick some Texan ace! 2010 is looking good! Go Phins Go Gator f—-k all the haters.
i hate him

I think someone here argued with my idea of swapping Ginn for a 4 or 5
Because they thought I was LOWBALLING Ginn’s market value.
Part of me wants to keep Ginn and pair him with a true #1, while the other part of me wants to ship his ass out so we can align someone else as our #2 wide receiver. I don’t know, though — this guy seems to always be the source of my headaches.
Arrelious Benn in 2010!
in ginns defense, its not entirely his fault...
Look,he shouldnt have been taken where he was,but he was,he is a dolphin, and for that reason alone,i hope for him to succeed. I get tired of hearing people use him for the reason our teams recievers suck, truth is,he plays his hardest day in and out,and wants and works to improve. Weve seen flashes,i have a feeling were gonna keep him,and hell get better. Hell take a cut in pay, become a really good #2 and people will still complain, because of where he was drafted

Like I said before
He is the face of the Cam Cameron era (error?).
Every dropped pass, every run sideways…people are reminded of THAT team. It doesn’t matter what Ginn does, he will never be loved in Miami. Fair or not, Ginn is the lingering fart that is the 2007 season, and as a result, the fans will never embrace him.
Thanks captain obvious.
