Not only is it a Friday - the "slowest" day of the week in terms of website traffic - but it's also Christmas. So there's no use in doing any kind of detailed post today.
Instead, I just wanted to wish all of you out there a Merry Christmas! Hopefully you all get what you want this holiday season. And maybe - just maybe - Santa will surprise us all and bring us a second consecutive postseason appearance.
Don't forget - there is a football game tonight, too - kicking off at 7:30 pm eastern. And it's a meaningful one for the Dolphins. If the Chargers can knock off the Titans, that would be one less team for us to worry about as the Dolphins attempt to make their climb back up the AFC wildcard standings.

We must win both of our games, but here is how I look at the playoff picture; despite the heartbraking loss at the Titans last week, we still got a shot to get in
here is the playoff picture
Wild Card teams
Ravens 8-6
Broncos 8-6
Other teams still in the hunt
Jacksonville 7-7
Miami 7-7
NY Jets 7-7
Pittsburgh 7-7
Tennessee 7-7
Houston 7-7
We play Houston and Pittsburgh AT home the last 2 games, we are the only team that does not have to go on the road the rest of the way
Baltimore plays Pittsburgh this week, I really dont care who wins cuz it works pretty well for us either way. If Baltimore wins, yes they are 9-6 and in the playoffs basically, but it also eliminates Pittsburgh from getting in, giving us one less team to fight for the playoffs against.
Denver goes to Philly, I really like the Eagles chances to help us all out.
Tennessee has San Diego, Jacksonville goes to New England and the Jets play at Indy. Hopefully the favorites win those games and help us out a bunch.
That leaves our game against the Texans, which basically is an elimination game. Loser is basically out of the playoffs.
Lets say for fun sakes that we beat Houston, Baltimore beats Pittsburgh, Philly beats Denver and Tennessee, Jacksonville and the Jets all lose (Which is very possible). Playoff picture would look like this
Baltimore 9-6
Denver 8-7 vs Kansas City
Miami 8-7 vs Pittsburgh
Baltimore would basically be in and we would fight with Denver for the last spot. If Pitt beats Baltimore it would look like this
Baltimore 8-7
Denver 8-7 vs Kansas Cith
Miami 8-7 vs Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh 8-7 at Miami
Basically Miami/Pittsburgh would again be an elimination game. Anyway there are so many things that could happen. Maybe Jacksonville beats New England and the Pats lose their last 2 games, we win our last 2 and we win the division?
These are all scenarios in the crazy AFC playoff picture. We have a decent shot to get in, but most important thing is we MUST win our last 2 games, or all these scenarios are moot
