Dolphins vs Titans: Prediction Time
Last week, there was a pretty even split among the "experts" about the Dolphins/Jaguars game. This week, I get the feeling that it'll be another close split between the Dolphins and Titans. Let's see:
| Chris Mortensen - Ten | Adam Schefter - Ten | Ron Jaworski - Mia |
| Tom Jackson - Mia | Cris Carter - Mia | Peter King - Mia |
| PFT - Ten | Jason Cole - Ten | Michael Silver - Ten |
| Pete Prisco - Ten | Harmon Forecast - Ten | Clark Judge - Ten |
A lot of people seem to like the Titans here. And I'll admit - this Titan team is a lot closer to least year's 13-3 team right now than they are to the 0-6 team that started this season.
With that said, I don't know what to make of this game. I don't think Vince Young will be playing at 100% - which certainly helps the Dolphins. But even an 80% Young is athletic enough to give this defense headaches.
I guess what this game comes down to is how well the Dolphins can contain Chris Johnson and how well the offense can move the football. For some reason, I just have this feeling that we're in store for a high-scoring 30-27 kind of game. I think Chad Henne will play well and I expect the Dolphins to score points. If they can just limit CJ's impact, the Dolphins have a good shot at leaving Nashville with a win.
My Week 15 Locks
Saints -6.5 over Cowboys - I really love the Saints in this spot. They're going for 16-0 100% and I think Drew Brees will have another big game.
Cardinals -10.5 over Lions - The Cards bounce back in a big way with a win over the lowly Lions. There's no chance Detroit contains Arizona's offense and I don't think the Cards will turn the ball over a ridiculous amount of times like on Monday night.
Texans -9.5 over Rams - The Rams are just terrible - and now they have a swine flu issue. Houston will roll big in this game.
Chargers -6.5 over Bengals - I'd love to see Cincy win this. But the Charger are really hot right now and emotion can only carry you so far. The Chargers are the better team and they'll win this game and take command of the AFC's #2 seed.
Last Week: 2-2
Season: 23-21-1

ballsy picks there with ARI over DET and HOU over STL lol
Jk cuz the chargers/Cincy game and Dallas/NO game will be close
Well i would beat the CJ horse anymore than it has been so i’ll leave it at, Soliai has to beat pro-bowler Mawae, Davis & Smith have to put their skills to the test, Culver or Clemens has to play for Wilson cuz god forbid you know who breaks into the secondary and Wilson is the last line of defense… but overall, MIA pulls a close 31-28
My other man picks are:
GB over PIT
SD over CIN
BAL over CHI
Upset: BUF over NE
Cut Gibril Wilson!!
Actually,
Wilson is good against the run so he is a better choice to have in the secondary against the rush… however, if it’s a screen pass to CJ, then we’re effed in the A.

I agree! It is too cold here in sunny south FLA for the Brady to beat the Bills!

Yeah BUT...
the banged up Falcons almost beat the SAINTS. The Saints are simply getting lucky and lucky will only get you so far. They’ve barely won most of their games and there will come a time where the ball doesn’t bounce there way. Most likely that will occur in the first round of the playoffs. I think the Falcons have a good shot at the Jets because SANCHEZ will throw another 3 to 5 interceptions!

Who Dat DEM DEY BLAH DEE BLAH HAHAHAHAH!!
I called it! Their luck finally ran out and it happened in their OWN STADIUM!!!! About time, the refs even tried to intervene in this game but they couldn’t make any more excuses once DWARE took out BREES for the final time!

I've got a bad feeling in my stomach about this game.
If our DL isn’t playing well, we’re pretty much screwed cause CJ will run for 200 yards.

i dont agree
with the chargers pick… yeah most likely a win but i dont see them covering the spread
Take your last good spread now.
It takes a team a few weeks to adapt to a major change in the lineup. We have had injuries to key players along the way that are significant enough to change a game plan.
Now that we are a few games removed from Ronnie going down we have made our adjustments and will start to really gel in this game.
Just like we needed a few games to adapt to the Pennington loss (remember all those drops), the Will Allen loss (secondary breakdowns), and now the Ronnie loss (no wildcat, no double threat).
Fortunately, we have great depth and are adapting and overcoming. I think the Dolphins cover this spread going away. For once, we will not have a tight game in the 4th quarter.
Then, we will no longer be underrated and the point spreads will reflect it.
Good idea here on re-adjustment times
I never thought of this before but there does seem to be evidence for it. I guess we shall soon see if the gel theory holds. Titans will be a great test for it.

I expected it to be somewhat split between the 2 teams
but i think if we can get our offense going, kill clock and keep CJ somewhat in check, we can win this game…and idk about picking against the Bengals this week brah…They going to come out very emotional and really really want to win this game for #15, they going to make it close if not win this game, i don’t think it a lock for the Chargers at all

agreed with the bengals
but sometimes teams can get too emotional and get somewhat distracted from the actual game. Henry died so recently, it’d be very hard for me to stay focused on such a short span of time if i were on cincy.

I have a question
It always seems to me that we are playing the good teams when they are playing good and the bad teams when they decide to pull their heads out of their arses and start playing good. What’s up with that shit?

put the pressure on vince young-- force him to create turnovers
i believe we can contain chris johnson better than other teams. Whats been killing us as been the one play tha turns out to be 60 yds. i dont think VY is capable of thowing that on sunday. If we pressure consistently and effectively we should be okay

Not yet surprisingly
CT seems to be avoiding it thus far—but we’ll get plenty of it soon.

It may be a high scoring game, but it will be close too.
But I can’t believe Miami is a 5 point underdog here, with a better record and almost an equally good running attack? Miami’s defense is playing alot better than their stats indicate and the Titan’s are susceptible to the pass. It’s one thing to give the advantage to the home team, but 5 points? I’ll give the Titans credit for winning 6 out of their last 7 games. Both teams are hot right now too. Should be a good one for sure.
we have to step up and take chris johnson out the game
thats their entire offense right there
