PrintWell since some "experts" mock draft are coming and FA is also in a few month i have a question for you all.
IF you were J.Ireland and B.Parcells for an off season what moves and draft pick would you make, sign or trade? If you had to make a pick for the dolphins to choose in the first 3 rounds of the draft (giving that we pick in the 16-25 range) who would you pick and a brief reason. Regarding FA, let's say that all free agents are fair game for the dolphins to sign, who would you sign, and as well whom would you trade for or trade away.
Bonus Q&A: if you were to cut a player/players on our team whom would it be?
Here are my moves:
Draft:
RD1: Golden Tate, Wr Notre Dame. RD2: "Mount" Cody, Dt Alabama. RD3: Brandon James, Pr/Kr Florida.
FA:
Brandon Marshall, Wr Denver. Thomas Howard, Lb Oakland. Vince Wilfork, Dt New England.
Trade for/away:
Kerry Rhodes, Fs New York(for); he is not in the best of places with the jets front office and i think they will part with him.

I don’t think there is a chance any of those things happen except maybe the draft. Now my question to you is why would you spend a 2nd round pick on a NT if you just picked up Wilfork in FA?
well....
i by all means wilfork would be great, but i want some depth behind him and while solia has done well i believe cody “can” be good. while i dont expect cody to be graet this upcoming year i think he has the MASSIVE potential to be good.

Round 1 – Brandon Spikes
Round 2 – Ricky Sapp
Round 3 – Morgan Burnett
FA: Brandon Marshall, Resign Ronnie, Cadillac Williams (I would love to see Ronnie and Caddy back in the same backfield like the good ole days!),Nick Collins and Jahri Evans
Trade for: Noone
Cut: Gibril Wilson

I think we're still a few drafts from serious contention
brandon marshall would really open up the field for the offense, but henne still needs time to develop, and we need to resign ronnie or move on to another long-term RB. The offense is close, I think.
The defense, on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired. We have a serious need at inside DL (aging, injured Ferg), LB, and safety, because Wilson is not doing the job. We also need a year or two for our high-potential CBs to really get a feel for the NFL.

I wouldn't need a draft... but I'd coax Travis Benjamin into the pros
I’d GET Andre Johnson, Vince Wilfork, Ed Reed, and Frank Gore.
It’d be a UM alum meeting in the SB.

There are three things that I would like to go out and get this offseason:
1. A legitimate #1 wr
2. a electric nose tackle
3. a rookie linebacker that can start right away. (Brandon Spikes?)

I see 3 of the first 4 picks going to LBs. Hopefully 2 of them will be inside.
I also see us taking at least 1, possibly 2 safties.
NT they will probably TRY a FA pickup and unfortunately WR will have to wait another year.
