Two Years Ago ... Where were you?
December 16th, 2007 - forever known as the day the Dolphins Frachise was saved from the possible 0-16 season.
We all know and remember the story to well, the Dolphins were the laughing stock of the league and not expected to even win a game after starting the season 0-13. Everyone was piling on from friends, to announcers and even sports radio broadcaster Jim Rome had a campaign going on but on this day it all had come to a complete hault.
My Story:
At this point I personally had stopped watching games with friends and stayed home watching the games by myself, I live far away from Miami so I have always had the Sunday Ticket to enjoy all Dolphin games. It was the time of year for spiced rum and eggnog so that is what I had decided to drink and put back enough to make the game managable as I had almost lost all hope. The game wasn't pretty ... in fact we still even tried to give this game away *thank you Matt Stover for the missed FG's* So by the time Greg Camarillo had caugth the ball and was breaking towards the endzone I probably was jumping as high in the air as I ever had time and time again ... relieved and exhausted the phone calls came in from my brother and friends, mostly laughing at how excited i was over 1 win but I didn't care they would never know what as fans that season was like, it just felt so damn good to get that one win.
I can admit I didn't bust into tears like Wayne but I was close, like most of you here I live and die with the Dolphins and that is the season I never want to go through again. Its at this time that we should remind ourselves how lucky we are to have such a great organization to cheer for and that now we are talking PLAYOFFS two seasons in a row since that infamous season.
Take a little trip back down memory lane
So my question to you is ... Where were you? what were you doing? Were you alone like myself drowning my sorrows or were you with other people or even at the game? Lets here it because that is a day as a phin fan I will never forget.

Up in Canada, pissed off.
My sister (a Ravens fan) left a long message on my phone (about $10) saying how they were gonna kick our ass. There’s was no way I was gonna see the game in Edmonton so after show it was all about getting to a bar. Then I saw the highlights! Naturally, I made the case for “stupid American in someone else’s country,” but when it’s time to get up and scream in a bar, it’s time.
On a side note, a dude came up later and said he was a Ricky fan -so they ain’t so ignorant up there, anyways…
The biggest fool that ever hit the big time -and all I gotta do is act naturally.

I had a feeling...
It was the first game I had to miss in about a month, but something told me that was going to be when that big W happened. I can’t remember what I was doing that day, only that I had prior obligations :\

My story.........
I remember it well. Being a life long Dolphins fan I so very excited, as it was are 1st year of traveling. We started our adventure in Houston. That is NO place to spend the Summer,……HOT, HOT, HOT!!! But, anyways….we put off our move from Texas to Florida as the Fins had a game in Houston. As you know, we lost,…….by a field goal.
After that we moved to Clearwater, Florida for our next work assignment. it was a 4 hour drive from there to the Miami area for the games. Going there was a breeze, but the drive home after the game was a bit of bitch. We did it, loss after loss. Then finally I said, which was I think after the game that the Pats embrassed us, no more !! I said I’ll go to the final home game, but out of principle I was going to boycott the game against Ravens. I had the money, but I just couldn’t bring myself to witness another to loss. Well,…as the story goes, that was a bad choice. Oh well………I saw it on TV in Clearwater.

That Pats game was terrible ....
The Pats game was hard to take .. I still remember Stallworth running though three tackles for a touchdown and than Moss catching the other one with two defenders on him and ending Hill season in the process. How quickly things have changed, on another note, the same type of thing happend to me that season in a pickem pool except that instead of going to the game I was picking the Dolphins each week … that week like yourself I said I have had enough and as the rest of the story goes I went 0-16 in picking Dolphins games that season lol

I was at home for Christmas break
I was watching the game with my Dad, and it had been a rough year. I spent the first 13 weeks of the season in hell. I was drunk, I was angry, I was throwing things, I was hearing shit from friends, from my roommates, from everyone. Nevermind one of my roommates was dating a Pats fan — I was not a happy person.
That game went from “could it be?” to “not again!” to “YES!” to “GOD NO MISS IT” to finally, “YES YES RUN RUN GO GO GO YES WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!”
About 30 seconds later, I got phone calls from EVERYONE. MY one roommate said during the season, “I may give you a lot of shit, but when they win, I’ll be the first person to call you.” And he was.
I think I did shed a tear when I saw the score go final. I’ll admit it.
I have a friend who is a die-hard Lions fan. When everyone was giving him hell about celebrating so much over a win earlier this year, I told people to back off, because I know what it feels like.
I wouldn’t wish that kind of season on any fan, but I think every fan should experience it at least once. You don’t realize how much you appreciate a win until it’s been a long time between them. The sun shines a little brighter, the grass looks greener, food tastes better, and tits look awesome®.

That was my first year of Sunday Ticket lol
I watched every game and it was painful. I will admit I had a couple tears when it happened. I remember thinking to myself where is the yellow flag to bring this back. I was so relieved that we didn’t go 0-16. Now we have a legitimate shot at the playoffs.

I remember the Bears game ended and they said they were going to the Dolphins game
They just punted the ball, and then after the break, the Dolphins won the game and I was so happy!!!! I was jumping up and down like a school girl. I called all my friends and they thought I was an idiot!!!!

my story
that year i was in 8th grade, and i was doing a project, i would have done it earlier to watch the game, but it didnt occur to me that we would win
all of the sudden, i hear screaming from my parent’s rom, i rush over there, and i see all the dolphins cheering. it was awesome

i was in basic training when the fins won that game.
i had this drill sgt who was a huge dolphins fan. I would know whether or not the dolphins won depending on how pissed off he was. If the dolphins got beat by the redskins, for example, he would ask the platoon “who is a redskins fan”. Then the poor bastard that actually raised his hand would be doing pushups with a facefull of drill sgt. After about 5 weeks people stopped raising their hands. So when the dolphins beat the Ravens, he asked “who is a ravens fan”. Some dumbass raised his hand, and drill sgt just pointed at him and laughed. So i knew we finally won a game.
2009 is a year of respect ladies and gentlemen. Lets get it.
